Microsoft's Games with Gold program starts anew tomorrow, April 1, with the addition of Hitman: Absolution to the service. Originally launched in November 2012, the third-person action game again meets Microsoft's prerequisites to be included for free on Xbox 360 -- a $19.99 ERP. Joining Hitman later this month will be the digital title Deadlight, rather a gem in the rough. Unfortunately there's still no word on the service starting on Xbox One.
Altogether a solid line-up from Microsoft, all things considered. While I personally dislike Hitman: Absolution quite a bit, there are man who adore the game. Similarly, Deadlight wasn't quite popular enough to become an indie darling, but it was very well received in some circles. That makes both games perfect choices as free titles in Games with Gold. They're both titles that many gamers may not have played before and it's likely many gamers will love them very much.
Today marks the last day to pick up Dungeon Defenders as part of the March Games with Gold offerings. Tomorrow, April 1, marks the beginning of Hitman: Absolution's reign. Make sure to go and download it for Xbox 360 if it slipped anyone's memory.
Although I don't know about Deadlight or others reaction to hitman absolution.
Definitely worth a look if you've never played it, though.
