Dino Crisis 3 Information thread.

Capcom announced they will release Dino Crisis 3 for Xbox in Japan in spring 2003, the game is currently 40% completed.



Capcom has released new details on their Xbox action adventure game Dino Crisis 3. This time the game takes place in the future year of 2548, inside a space ship. The main character is Patrick, a member of the special force S.O.A.R., who is sent to investigate an unattended spaceship, which was missing in the space for 300 years. Inside the spaceship, the team discovered the spaceship is overtaken by violent dinosaurs, and you must defeat the dinosaurs before they hunt you down. Dino Crisis 3 is currently 40% completed, and it is scheduled for a spring 2003 release in Japan.

Well here's the some new info about the games release:

Microsoft's Japanese counterpart has announced plans to release a limited edition Xbox bundle for the upcoming June Japanese release of Capcom's Dino Crisis 3. Called, appropriately, the Dino Crisis 3 Limited Box, the set includes the Xbox console, a controller, the DVD playback kit and a copy of the game. And all of it comes in a box dressed in dinosaur.
Reservations for the 26,800 yen package begin on 5/16 with the unit arriving whenever in June the game arrives. We presume this thing will stay in Japan only.

What we're wondering is, how come they didn't make a special case for the Xbox like they did with Sega's Panzer Dragoon limited edition model?

Dino Crisis 3 begins with the discovery of the gigantic spaceship "Ozymandius" that has suddenly re-emerged after disappearing for 300 years. Players assume the role of Patrick, a member of a special operative team, who is sent by the government to investigate and procure any possible survivors aboard the outpost. As Patrick and the agents infiltrate the spaceship, they come upon a horrific scene of ravenous dinosaurs inhabitingthe spaceship. Despite the unnerving situation, they must cautiously proceed with their mission. Now it's a life and death struggle against these massive beasts as they float through the dark recesses of space.

Equipped with hyper-speed booster units, players will maneuver quickly throughout the environment. Patrick's tight hand-eye coordination and lighting fast reflexes accurately blast any moving target no matter what speed they are traveling at. This new type of control is a break from anythin gever seen and will offer new challenges and more freedom of movement. Visually, Capcom has focused its attention on achieving a sense of scale and solidifying the craft's detail.

Real shame that they don't make games like this anymore
