Figure 57 is a forest plot reporting the prevalence of disabilities with any Basic Activities of Daily Living by gender in studies with a moderate level of evidence. Any BADL disability was defined as reporting one or more limitations with BADLs. The number of BADL items used in each study ranged from three to seven items. The left column groups the study name by gender and the right column reports the prevalence and 95% confidence interval. The prevalence of any BADL disability for women ranged from 8.1% to 14% and for men it ranged from 6.5% to 10.3%. The forest plots clearly show a higher prevalence of any BADL disability in women.
