I really don't know what's the difference between these games: Vroom, F1, F1 World Championship. It looks like the same game under three titles.
And don't forget Nigel Mansell's World Championship, which is almost identical to these games. (maybe a bit nicer) Those were SOOO game fanatic times! Which is sure: I loved to play Vroom on my Amiga 500!

I had this on the Megadrive and loved it. Having the Action Replay cart, I discovered a POKE that removed the corners from the tracks so it was a straight road entirely. The thing with that, the computer controlled cars still slowed down when the corners were due.

It's just a shame technology has improved, but the sport is riddled with soulless tracks and drivers.

This game was one I enjoyed pretty much.

I used to play this to bits as a kid on genesis..

Okay, I double-checked, park in pits, F1 to bring up menu, F2 to choose tyres, Space to confirm. Not so obvious!

The DOS version has a few quirky controls, for example, use Alt to add tracks to Training (or it does return to the main screen as noted!).

Also, pitstops require a strange button press too, I think it's F2 maybe, once parked! Experiment...

The training mode returns to the main screen after you select the the circuit, looks like the MS-DOS version is missing some files.

INDSTR, this game was also developed for Sega Genesis.

Cart? This is a DOS game, so you are probably thinking of something else.

I owned this cart back in the day and I had so much fun playing it. Although the vector graphics are ancient, the game play was fast paced and made you learn each corner's entry/exit speed just like any current 3D accelerated F1 simulation. Simple game yet fun in its purest undiluted from. Highly recommended.
