Description
Getting There
Update on directions by David Kozak: Approach from the village of San Lorenzo Dorsino. Take Via Strada Nòa north off SS421. Follow this road carefully and slowly (very narrow) for about 2.5km to Ristoro Dolomiti Di Brenta. The road up to Rifugio Cacciatore and then trail to Rifugio Agostini is closed except for the two Jeep Taxi services and vehicles that service the rifugios. Park here in the large and free, and in our experience safe, parking lot. You can either hike up the trail from here (I would not recommend this) or arrange with one of the Jeep Taxi services to take you to Rifugio Cacciatore. From being dropped off at this rifugio it is a nice one to one and a half hour hike (depending on how much gear and booze you are hauling up there) to Rifugio Agostini.
There are two Jeep Taxi services: Tiziano (who i have used multiple times) can be reached at +39 347 951 7713 or Matteo at +39 333 5909327. During the prime season they carry passengers up and down all day long. This 30 minute taxi ride is worth the euros. Both Jeep Taxis will pick you up and drop you off at Ristoro Dolomiti Di Brenta.
