Description
One of the best places for granite trad climbing in South America.
Alfalfal is a huge place nestled in a granite valley where there are countless walls on both sides of the valley. There are over 1000 established routes, including traditional, sport, and big wall climbs with climbs over 900 mts, with the majority being traditional or mixed routes. There is a lot more space for open new lines.
This place has the particularity that you can drive in and basically don't have to walk at all; most of the sectors are right next to the parking area. There are routes ranging from 5- to 5.13.
The area has water sources and places where you can camp, but there isn't an established campground.
It's important to be respectful of the cowboys and their animals and to pack out all trash.
