The Societe Generale owned leasing and vehicle management giant ALD Automotive, has revealed that in May 2012, the firm passed the milestone of selling its 100,000th used vehicle through its european online remarketing platform, ALD carmarket www.aldcarmarket.com.

Taking just 2 and a half years to reach this point, ALD say that credit must go to of the company’s remarketing departments at the central level as well as in the subsidiaries. ALD also claim that the rapid take-up also shows the acceptance of ALD Automotive’s own e-auction platform by the trader community as well as the reliability and transparency of online sales in the used car industry.

ALD carmarket is currently deployed within 19 countries across Europe. It is able to provide an extensive portfolio to its used car clients, covering virtually all makes and models that return from the leasing fleet. The ALD Automotive Group is gradually implementing the sales platform in all of its 37 subsidiaries and will continue to promote the sales of used cars through its online platform, aiming at selling up to 90% of its leasing terminations via ALD carmarket in a variety of sales channels by 2015.
