Beautiful lounge chair attrributed to Clara Porset. This chair has an exotic look, due to Porset's combination of Modern design with Mexican craftsmanship. The Butaque chair is originally an example of the mestizo culture in Mexico. It is a design that came from Mexico's Spanish conquerors and was adapted by local artisans to become a representation of Mexican nationalism. Porset was inspired by this work and reinvented the aesthetics in several designs.

Please note that this chair is in good, used condition with heavily patinated leather.
