El nombre de este árbol es "The Giant Camphor Tree".
(en) "The giant camphor tree was discovered at camphor harvesting in early 1900s during Japanese colonial period. The camphor tree was so big that locals even built a shrine dedicated to it. The tree survived devastating mudslides induced by typhoons in 1996, 2001, 2004 and 2009. In October 2018, botanists climbed the tree to measure the height, and recorded 32 epiphytic plants on it. The tree is to be believed the tallest camphor tree in the world.

La circunferencia del árbol medida a un tamaño de 1,30 m es 16 m (6 de Oct de 2018, epiphyte). El tamaño es de exactamente 46,40 m (6 de Oct de 2018, escalada con una caída directa de la cinta, epiphyte). Este árbol fue plantado sobre en 1300 ± 100, lo que da una edad actúal de sobre 724 ± 100 años (epiphyte, 17 de Jan de 2019).
