GP vs. Superbike
Description
GP vs. Superbike pitches racing cars against motorbikes. Players can choose racing with either one of the vehicle types, and can also select racing against the same vehicle type or against both. The controls consist in accelerating, breaking, steering and changing gears.
There are 4 game modes: trainer, practice, weekend and championship. In the later two, qualifying is necessary before racing a track. In championship mode, tracks must be played in a preset order. There are nine tracks: Belgium, San Marino, Monaco, England, Australia, Argentina, Hungary, Austria, Canada. Vehicles can be fine tuned for each track in a workshop, with settings for tires and transmission (automatic or manual and gear speeds).
The game can be played in six preset difficulties: Rookie, Novice, Amateur, Semi Professional, Professional, Ace. Thus, it can be played from a very arcade-like approach to a more professional simulation one. With the exception of the Ace difficulty, all can be tweaked by the user, turning settings (like engine overheat, fuel consumption, damage, etc.) on and off.
The game can be played by one or two players in a split-screen mode. Two players can race a duel or race competitively against bots. Both players must race the same vehicle type.
