Paris. Ron Mueck, a visual and emotional experience

From June to November 2023, the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain is once again inviting the Australian sculptor Ron Mueck to exhibit a group of artworks that have never been presented in France. The two previous exhibitions organised by the foundation in 2005 and 2013 were a major success among the public. It must be said that opportunities to admire Ron Mueck’s work are extremely rare. His human figures, which he sculpts slowly, are strikingly realistic. From a sleepy face to a couple languishing under a parasol or a series of gigantic skulls, his sculptures show the human condition without embellishments. Their change of scale adds to the disturbance one feels. Ron Mueck offers us a real visual, physical and emotional experience. A perspective on our relationship with the world. Not to be missed.
