Is Star Trek Computer based on the Amazon Echo Show?

When the Echo Show I admit I just thought 'OK, these guys just released a standing tablet. So what.', then when they issued a series of a few other Echo devices I completely forgot about the Show.
It hit me few months later while developing some IoT stuff integrating with the Echo family: Actually I'm in love with the Echo Show, because it reminds me of this:

True, Echo Show is not as strong and diverse as a tablet, but that's the thing: sometimes more is less and less is more. The limited touch functionality leads the user to talk to it and that does magic to the usability. And then you realize the bonus of the screen – it gives you something to look at – almost like you're talking to a person.. or at least to Star Trek's computer :-)
Now with new IoT devices integrating with the Echo Show, such as smart home cameras, my guess is that it'll quickly take over the smart speaker as the king of the house just like the sound film took over the silent film.
