For the better part of two years we’ve been building a new graduate municipal governance program for York’s Markham campus. It’s been a long journey to design the program, gain the necessary approvals to launch, recruit the first cohort and get our instructors in place but yesterday we reached a big milestone by meeting some of the first group of students who have been admitted and accepted their offers at the Markham campus open house. We have a fantastic group of policy leaders joining our first cohort! I can’t wait until the classes start in the Fall!
Well done on getting this program off the ground . Much needed and will be a great addition to York at Markham.
This is so exciting! Just finished my MPA finally - will you be taking distance students?? 😅
Congratulations on this program Zachery - I very much look forward to hearing of its successes!
Congratulations Zac!
Terrific Zac! Congratulations to you and the York U team on this milestone and the important addition of a municipal focus to the MPPAL program!

1moThanks for sharing. I know you invested lots of efforts in this project Zack. I’m glad to see it unfolding. It’s going to be an essential program in the ecosystem of programs in public administration and public policy in Canada. Congratulation to you and all the best to the first cohort of the program.
