Sungai Watch is an inspiring organization working to keep Indonesia's rivers clean. During its audit with a sample size of 537,189 items of plastic collected from Indonesia’s rivers during 2023, these 10 companies were identified as Indonesia’s most polluting: https://lnkd.in/gffDJKuy
Danone comes out on top. What is interesting is that Danone is also B Corp certified. https://lnkd.in/gytKM76w B Corp is a movement of companies verified to be meeting the highest standards of social and environmental criteria and using their business as a force for good. While it is encouraging that Danone is taking steps towards this, it is interesting that they, with the product range they offer in Indonesia, and particularly the plastic cup and bottles for water, come up as the #1 polluter. Hopefully they will work diligently on changing their product design in Indonesia and focus on winning other categories.
