Bingo! 3 management mistakes you’ve made at least once 1. I'd rather do it myself. Your job is to train employees. To do this, they must complete tasks and receive feedback. They make work slowlier than you, but this is the only way to teach how to work well. Otherwise, why hire them at all? 2. Tasks without deadlines and priorities. If a task is difficult, set a time by which you want to see the results. If there is more than a week to complete, ask when a person can complete the task and whether this will lead to other tasks being postponed. 3. They will cope on their own. If the task is long, agree on checkpoints. During the meeting, find out at what stage the project is, what further actions, and, if necessary, adjust them.

3 ways to make strong decisions 1. Reducing regrets. The author of the rule is Jeff Bezos. Imagine yourself at the age of 80. What will you think and regret? The right solution in this case is one that reduces the likelihood of regrets in the future. 2. Parkinson's Law The speed of the task depends directly on the time allocated for it. You can complete the same task in a week, or you can spend a month filling your free time with other things. Instead of spending a whole month on a task, break it into parts, set a few deadlines and try to complete it in a week. 3. Rule 10/10/10 Three tens represent three questions: “how will I feel about this decision in 10 minutes/ 10 months/ 10 years?” The rule helps to assess the consequences of your decisions and their usefulness for yourself in the future. Can't bring yourself to read a book or go through training? Answer these questions and it will be easier to start acting.

90% of startups crash at the very beginning. Here are some tips that can help the business survive. Before launching a project, think about what you want to earn when you reach recoupment. Estimate all possible scenarios. How much will it cost to kill redundant features or to quickly replace the suppliers? Companies ready for any outcome stand firmly on their feet. When the prediction stage is passed, make sure you have the appropriate experience. If it is not there, brush up the basics and get more practice. But don't try to make it too perfect, the perfect moment will never come. Do not strive to implement all the functions of the product at once. Create a minimally viable product. This way you will be able to move from theory to practice faster — analyze real demand, test a marketing strategy and help save resources, and therefore reduce possible losses. Fortune favors the bold. A study by the Stanford Graduate School of Business comes to this conclusion. People with hard skills and experience usually feel insecure about their work competence focusing on the things they haven’t learnt yet. Meanwhile, people with less advanced skills are often more confident, even if their views or answers are incorrect. That's why experienced HR reps consider hard skills check only a part of a job interview. To find the best manager, let the candidates complete the task, rather than asking "What was your performance like in your last job?". Most likely, those who did not initially inspire confidence in you, will perform better. At the same time, you too can choose to follow this rule. For example, at investor negotiations . Even if you don't fully possess the skills, you can give a successful presentation if you behave a little more confidently.

How to retain customers? Statistics show that attracting a new client costs 5 times more than retaining an old one. Today we have prepared interesting cases and techniques for you to help retain a client. 1. Congratulate the client on holidays. Surely you've seen those messages from brands. But some went further and started giving gifts and bonuses a few days before the event, putting themselves ahead of the competitors. 2. Remind about yourself. In push notifications or anywhere else, try to gently remind the person of your product or services. 3. Don't keep the client waiting. One of the most interesting cases is Torro Grill, a restaurant known for its steaks. If you go there, and there are no tables available, you will get a free glass of wine while waiting. Many coffee shops can offer a coupon for a free drink or a dessert for waiting time. 4. Implement a digital office system. In Scadio, you can create a separate project for each client to mark the status of the client and their birthday, for example. Start using for free now: https://scadio.pro

Team management. Tips for aspiring entrepreneurs Team play. No matter how professional you are, you cannot build an empire alone. Being a team player means helping the team and treating employees with respect. Such leaders are respected – consistent, demanding, but fair. Transparency. Managers often think employees do not need to be initiated into management processes. But the opacity of the business reduces the loyalty and interest of employees in the common cause. If your goal is to unite the team and increase productivity, you need to make your business more transparent. Control. When there is a desire to control everything, firstly, there is less time to solve strategic issues, and secondly, employees begin to lose interest, productivity decreases, and results become worse. Criticism. Constructive criticism helps to build a dialogue, and not to spoil the relationship. Look for ways to constructively convey thoughts to the employee without offending them. Goals and deadlines. Try to set as specific goals and deadlines as possible for tasks and projects, for example, in Scadio. A properly set task motivates and answers the employee's possible questions about resources, deadlines and goals of implementation.

4 identical managing and parenting styles. Looking at how a human's childhood influences their behavior at work. Let's consider a work team as a nuclear family. For this, we’ll replace a "parent" with "manager" and a "child" with "employee". Authoritarian style. These parents control the child’s every, preventing them from exploring the world and being an individual. The child becomes non-initiative and apathetic. Such a person will work only under compulsion. Permissive style. A child is allowed to do everything. In this case, the child will use all new ways to test the boundaries. Children in such families do not know how to adapt to society, listen, give in, and are characterized by selfishness and rude behavior. Neglectful style. A child is given zero attention, they’re not punished for mistakes or praised for success. Such people feel needless. In adulthood, they become closed-up and insecure. Authoritative style. A bit different from the first one. Control on the part of parents is not excessive. The child knows the "rules" of society - they’re allowed to make mistakes and they feel supported. Such children willingly learn new things, take on things with enthusiasm. As adults, they are confident, able to accept feedback and respect others. To manage your team more easily, try using Scadio. With its help, you can create a unified communication space, and get your tasks completed on time.

Sage management advice. Dry figures are our everything. Don't reveal the company's goals to your employees. Let them work however they can. Make sure the goals are important to you only - and the ambulance is on its way to pick you up! Goal-setting techniques? Forget it, it's for wimps. The best thing to do is to lead your team somewhere they don't know. Rules. Remember to micro-manage your staff whatever they do. What is their current task, when did they take a break, what did they do yesterda? These are imperative questions to ask any employee as often as possible. The people are your game characters, not independent individuals, so keep an eye on the process rather than the outcome! Communication. What is a unified space for work communication, tasks setting and monitoring? Maybe a single account with a million personal and work chats is better, so one has to search for information for hours? Just what you need! It's a good idea not to specify time zones to spice up the communication when one person's work day is over while the other's in the middle of it. Firing and hiring. The longer the recruiting lasts, the better. Plenty of tests and long-lasting interviews are a must. Focus on the candidate's hard skills only, forget the soft skills and overall judgment.
