Burnout is not fatigue, it is a more serious process. In 2019, professional burnout syndrome was included in the International Classification of Diseases, and thus recognized as a factor that directly affects our health. If you notice several signs of burnout, then it’s something to think about: - Decreased productivity and work efficiency. - Decreased motivation. Taks feel meaningless, new projects don’t light up the fire in them. - Negative or indifferent attitude to work, colleagues, and tasks. Increased Irritability. - Physical and emotional exhaustion. You stop attending workouts, forget about your health, feel constant fatigue and decreased concentration. Here are some methods of combating burnout: - Try to minimize the reading of work chats, the use of applications, the Internet and social networks. -Think about how to share some of the responsibilities to reduce the workload and discuss this issue with management. -If possible, take a vacation and get away for a change of scenery. -Perhaps the company can transfer you to another department where you can use your skills and learn something new. This will help you reboot and grow professionally. -Try to minimize reading work emails, using apps, and scrolling your feed. Preventing burnout: 1. Try to find a truly appealing job. Burnout might happen when you are doing something you don't like. 2. Don't forget about work-life-balance: - Forget perfectionism. Striving for perfection keeps us in high tension. - If you have to constantly sacrifice your interests to complete the task, it’s not worth it. 3. Find a hobby that will please you and help you recover. 4. Take care of yourself. Watch your diet and daily routine, exercise regularly, go on vacation and use sick leaves when needed. Sounds obvious but many companies encourage or overlook overtime, but you don’t have to. We hope these weapons will help fight stress and anxiety. If they don’t help, consider contacting a therapist. Like and share to spread burnout awareness!
