As part of creating their Institutional Transformation Acceleration Project (ITAP) to help students connect with industry, the Universidad Europea de Canarias (UEC) has taken another step forward. They recently hosted a conference with students from the School of Architecture and visited built projects to support their academic model within the scope of immersive teaching innovation. This technical project unites not only the materials and construction methods but also the process of architectural and urban generation. The Universidad Europea de Canarias architecture students learn from examples of professional excellence, such as the new urban front of Caletillas (Candelaria). This means the journal is still number one in the subject of Cultural Studies (among 1203 journals listed in Scopus) and number two in Architecture (among 170 listed journals), slightly behind the Elsevier Journal of Building Engineering (9.8), and maintaining the leading edge with some worlds flagship journals, including Design Studies (Elsevier; 8.4) and International Journal of Construction Management (Taylor and Francis 8.4). This hasn't been reflected in the current ranking but is a projection of the position of the journal in May 2024. “How temporary is our footprint on the environment? The research poses questions, aiming to engage multiple voices and provoke a dialectical debate, amplifying a reflection according to a more global perspective. How temporary is our footprint on the environment? Is the first question, an invitation to consider how limited or lasting in time is the impact of human interventions on the natural settings. The pavilion symbolically focus on the creation of reservoirs, and the case study selected for the analysis is the first unit of the hydroelectric power station launched in 1985 in Georgia, Dusheti region. The plant, 11.5 km2, is still substantially generating Tbilisi's electricity and water supply; however, due to its development, the village of Zhinvali was flooded completely, forcing the entire local population to relocate.
