Rainer Wansch’s Post

First reconfiguration experiment in GEO using the Fraunhofer On-Board Processor #FOBP on the Heinrich-Hertz-Satellite has been successfully conducted this night! Thanks to the effort of the teams at Fraunhofer IIS, Deutsche Raumfahrtagentur im DLR, CGI we could establish the link to the #FOBP and check the main functions. All telemetry data gathered in the #FOBP switched to green! Highlight was reconfiguring the #FOBP with a firmware being uploaded from ground and performing new functionalities on board. Perfect start for upcoming experiments! Special thanks go to Katja Vornberger, Michael Nieland, Moritz Thome, Leo Frank, Luca Bachmaier, Martin Ottens, our guests Florian Rittner, Christopher Stender, CGI satellite operator Ralph Biggins, DLR team Siegfried Voigt, Matthias Walpurgis, Alexander Kreplin, Björn Gütlich

Congrats to the team! Can you detail the reconfiguration you did? Have you, for instance, reconfigured data acquisition speed? (hardware reconfig)
