Take note of this opportunity - Sida opens a call for cooperation with Swedish and international civil society organisations.
Därefter följer ytterligare tre steg i urvalsprocessen. 👉Sida väntas kunna ge besked till de organisationer som är utvalda att gå vidare till det sista steget i slutet av augusti. I've just returned from a brief visit to COP28 in Dubai, where I had the pleasure to join the of the water, agriculture and food thematic day on 10th December. It was truly an amazing experience to take part of this impressive and important global event, while a lot to take in on a one-day participation. It was particularly interesting to take part of an engaging panel 'Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem Nexus' hosted in the Moroccan Pavilion, where the contributors acknowledged the inherit links between water, energy, food and environment, called for a holistic and cooperative approach, engaging the private sector and seeking innovative solutions and finance to tackle the water crisis. Interesting to learn from the cases including from Morocco, on how these perspectives are integrated into new projects by seriously taking a nexus approach into consideration in project design. It was also very nice to meet up with several partners and colleagues I have worked with in different projects and workplaces over the years in my previous engagements. Now on its last day of the conference I hope that the negotiations will reach a conclusion that takes a step forward towards reaching the goals of the Paris agreement, including opening up for a serious attempt towards phasing out fossil fuels. #COP28 #Climatechange #wefenexus Almotaz Abadi Jihad Alsawair Mikael Melin Vangelis Constantianos

Take note! Sophie Gripenberg, an engaged sustainability professional, with broad international experiences is open for new opportunities wishing to contribute to sustainability and a well-being society. Read her inspiring reflection below to learn more.
In Search of New Opportunities After 12 years dedicated to sustainable development in various roles, I find myself at a crossroads where my diverse interests in the field have provided extensive experiences across international development including United Nations, private sector initiatives, civil society, and government projects. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working on diverse topics such as climate mitigation, environmental management systems, global food systems, and sustainable fashion among others. This journey has allowed me to broaden not only my expertise in system thinking but also to develop practical skills in communication, graphic design, various software applications, standards, and research methods. I’m proud of those experiences, feeling that my involvement and leadership have contributed to meaningful change—from inspiring individuals to take action, to helping leading boards to know their goals and directions to reducing actual carbon emissions. However, I've reached a point where my diverse skills in sustainable development are taking a back seat to two missions close to my heart: changing the economic system and contributing to mental health and inner sustainability. It has become increasingly clear that working on sustainability in a system that prioritises profit and economic growth over life and wellbeing, only treats the symptoms. It's evident that for us to truly create a better world, we must prioritize inclusion, diversity, and mental health within ourselves and our institutions of sustainability (which is currently not always the case). Being genuine and humane with one another matters. I want to create a wellbeing society. One where humans are embraced for their uniqueness and who they are, not for what they do. One where our systems are facilitating the needs and development of all. One that protects the foundations of life and respects all living things. I don’t know in what circumstance I could possibly work with changing our economic system. It seems like a job no one is willing to pay for. But this is my call to openly share with all of you what I want to do. I am prepared to serve in any capacity, whether as a researcher, communicator, or project leader. Whether the role is remote, part-time, or on a consultant basis, I am willing to relocate anywhere my skills are needed. These things are inconsequential; what matters to me is collaborating with individuals who share similar visions and do their best to walk-the-talk. Your support means a lot to me. Please if you would be so kind as to share this post I would be very grateful. #wellbeingeconomy #wellbeingsociety #degrowth #beyondgdp #circulareconomy #sustainabledevleopment #openforjobs #positivemoney

As an official United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) observer organisation, the Al-Attiyah Foundation has a longstanding commitment to ensuring that its members and partners have an active role in UN Climate Change processes, including at the upcoming 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai from 30 November to 12 December. Due to the outstanding show of support from our members and partners, the Foundation is delighted to announce that we will host our first-ever pavilion in the Blue Zone at COP28 later this year. This space will serve as a hub for critical knowledge sharing, networking, and showcasing the work of the Foundation. It would also allow the Foundation the opportunity to support the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) and help enhance the collaboration between the Foundation and other organisations from the State of Qatar that are participating at COP28. The Foundation is keen to ensure that its pavilion provides a platform for forging partnerships with like-minded international and sectoral organisations, and for sharing insights and expertise on key energy, sustainability and climate change issues. Further details of opportunities for our members to engage at our venue will be shared in due course. In the meantime, do not hesitate to contact Mr. Colman Hands at chands@abhafoundation.org COP28 UAE #UnitedNationsClimateChangeConference #Qatar #UAE #climatechange #renewables #sustainability #event #dialogue #parisagreement #netzero #middleeast #gulf #unitednations
