White Lotus Dragon & Lion Dance will be performing at this year’s Voices of Change on May 16 🐲 They are the largest dragon & lion dance team in Oregon, and perform throughout the Pacific Northwest for Lunar New Years, weddings, grand openings, banquets, and many other events. Some of you may have seen them at last summer’s Jade District Night Market. We're incredibly lucky to have them again for our annual gala as we raise funds to continue our work for cultural pride and resilience for AANHPIs in Oregon. We’re so excited to have Sandy’s Myanmar Cuisine catering our annual gala #VoicesOfChange 🙌🏽 Sandy Myint grew up in Myanmar, and spent lots of time in the kitchen with her grandmother, grand aunties, and ahmay (mother). She is known as the pioneer who introduced traditional dishes within Myanmar's major hotels. She won the Myanmar Time's Gold Plate Awards for Best Myanmar Cuisine in 2002 and 2004 with her family’s traditional techniques. She was also awarded Best Taste Winner, Best National Mote Hin Gar Award, and Best Regional Mote Hin Gar Awards in the Myanmar Chef Association's competition in 2004 and 2005.
