About us
Nationally recognized for our hospice care services, Agrace also provides supportive care, adult day services, senior care and grief support to people who are aging, seriously ill, dying or grieving. Every day, we support more than 1,800 people throughout southern Wisconsin. As Wisconsin’s largest nonprofit hospice, staff in IT, housekeeping, admissions, finance, sales, fundraising—as well as nurses, social workers and physicians—all play a part in fulfilling our mission. We are united by our organization’s commitment to be there for people during some of the most difficult times of their lives. Staff feel proud of the work they do, which is reflected in our standing as the #1 Top Workplace in Madison for two consecutive years. And that’s also true for the communities we serve. Agrace has recently been voted best Home Health Care Agency in the Best of Madison awards, Rock County’s Favorite Hospice in the Janesville Gazette Readers’ Choice awards, and Best Assisted Living/Senior Care in the Star of Madison.

How do we better ourselves? How does one become more efficient at a task? We do the work. The first iteration of Bridging Differences is complete and Agrace staff showed up to not only work hard, but to challenge themselves in the process. Discussions around the diversity of culture, navigating difficult conversations, and creating genuine apologies were just a few of the interactive discussions that were had in this training experience. Agrace staff spent two 90-minute sessions, learning and practicing ways in which we can create a more inclusive environment for all members of our community.
