Very much worth a play, on par with Lucasarts games of the era. I'm not sure I ever finished it though looking at the screenshots so maybe it's not so memorable after all. Or maybe that's just the 30 years of booze between then and now.

This one is a very good adventure highly inspired by "Indiana Jones" games and a typical late 80s movies. The presentation is good, the music is nice, the dialogues are funny and the game itself has rather average difficulty level what makes it an ideal for a non-advanced adventure games players. Highly recommended.

Great original late Amiga title. It was ported to Dos, which does look better and more vivid, especially the jungle looks lusher in 256 colour graphics.
A couple of things make this Amiga version a chore, slow load times, missing animation and SFX/Music compared to even the floppy DOS version. The Roland SC-55 GM sound on the DOS versions is pretty awesome.

This is an original Amiga game that was also Converted for MS-Dos, so the better way to play it is to play the Amiga version, that is the best version, best graphics etc. Play it with whload. It was thought for the Amiga 32 color palette so the grqphic are the best for Amiga.
It was NOT a conversion as some people are saying, it's an original Amiga game and the MS-Dos conversion graphics are ugly compared to the Amiga original. So, you have to play the Amiga version to have the best experience.

Is a great game! However I highly advise you to go and get the free DOS version for couple of good reason:
1- load time far better
2- sound fx + music (well music so-so but it has both)
3- looks better
4- animation is better
5- control is better

Right now 2015 Dec you can download from GOG for free.

I give 8/10 as it's a great story, and game.

When it was released they said they definitely will do an AGA Version, maybe even a CD32 Version of the game before the ECS Version was released. Then ... Nobody bought it and so they said ... "OK! Nobody bought it! So there will be NO AGA release!" I can't understand developers being so dumbassed. They left the Amiga market after this experience. So (too bad) I had to buy the ECS Version and it even didn't help to support the Amiga market anymore ...

After all it is a good conversion bearing the ECS limits in mind. But nowadays I would absolutely recommend you to go and play the full talkie DOS Version.

I just HATED publishers for only producing for those unwilling to upgrade A500 1 MB Users back then ... And I never understood why they only did so on Amiga. On PC you have to upgrade regularly till today ...

Such a nice game. Great graphics and sound. Clever puzzles that are never getting on your nerves. And quite funny at times!

I don't think you'll find a "point and click" game that's better than this one.
I love the humour and the story line .... Has me in stitches every time.
Wish it wasn't on 11 disks though

Really great adventure game that feels like its straight out of lucas arts... But because of its dedicated amiga history actually had some really great GFX to go with it as well! One of the best adventures around of its style!

Best adventure point and click for the Amiga! I found this much entertaining even if you are an adult, while the various monkey islands didn't made me even smile on the humour and felt cheesy, this one (here and there) has some lines that make you laugh, lot of good taste and good humour, yes some of the lines are cheesy, but not like in MI II, this felt like a cult B-movie, it was even quite easy, so a newone to the genre should try this. The guys who have made this game must have had some really good taste.

The short Comic Book you can read inside the game (it's an object you can collect) is a little gem on its own:
"Captain Rocket you are a Dream! Yes Baby, Im the American Dream!"

A late "mature" masterpiece, that despite having a MSDOS version as well, feel 100% AMIGA!

A really great adventure game; and while I don't enjoy it quite as much as perhaps Monkey Island, or Simon the Sorcerer, it's still right up there with a lot of the quality point-and-clicks. Impressive graphics and music, and I've only played the Amiga version (not the PC one) so I can't comment on the talkie version, but I hear there is one!! Another adventure I would recommend point-and-click fans have a go at whenever they can. I would definitely recommend this to fans of the LucasArts classics; certain aspects of the gameplay, storyline and humour are very similar to some of their point-and-clicks indeed.

If you are unfamiliar with the point-and-click adventure genre, but are thinking of giving it a go, I would recommend this game as a good way to get started in that area, as it's not quite as bizarre as some games. Old or new fan of adventure games, I still think this one is worth playing!

One of best point and click adventures for the Amiga. A fun Indy spoof.

This game is a original Amiga game, later taken to PC,based on 32 colors for that reason the color is very well used. The similarity to the Lucasarts games is big.The same age(194x) that Indiana Jones games and similar character, jungle scenes remember much to Monkey Island, interface is the same.I like this adventure because it's not difficult unlike the majority of adventures nevertheless this adventure is challenging.I would recommend to play it to frustrated people with other "hard" adventures like Monkey Island 2.

Pretty good game, but I put it down for plagiarizing Indy so much.

Very good adventure game! Played it both on Amiga and PC, and both are great! Stay clear of the Talkie-version on PC though - the voice acting is horrible!

If you like Lucasfilmgame you certainly should check Flight Of The Amazon Queen out. It's not as good as Monkey Island or Indiana Jones but no game is that. If you don't expect too much you'll get a visually really great and charming adventure with a decent humor and nice puzzles to solve. A really underrated gem.

A great game and a must if you love the old 2D adventure games.
Flight of the Amazon Queen was a game that I liked but it didn't engulf my life as the Monkey Island and Indiana Jones series from Lucasarts had. I never completed Amazon Queen as my attention wasn't held long enough, non the less looking back it was a good game and worthy of buying.

This tried to be funnier than it actually was, and was brought down by some crap puzzles and bucketloads of backtracking, but provided some genuine fun in the end. Just don't expect anything near Lucas quality.

I played this only on PC but judging by the screens Amiga version looks just as good. A great adventure nicely paying respect to classics of the genre. A bit home-brewn looking but that's the part of its charm. Lots and lots of dialogue (most of which is genuinely funny) so I'm afraid the disk version is somewhat lacking in the atmosphere because of missing speech.

*Extremely* nice graphics - it's one of those ECS games that looked like an AGA game - but the game itself falls far behind LucasArts and friends. For the most part it's too sprawling - they've made the various locations so big that it's a chore getting from one place to another, which slows the game down and makes the puzzle solving far to laborious. And the puzzles themselves aren't fantastic. It's still an above average adventure game, but be prepared to be underwhelmed by the gameplay once you've been blown away by the graphics.

After Lucas had abandoned the Aiga, Flight of the Amazon Queen came to save the day. A tremendous graphic adventure that keeps delivering the hilarity, up until the very end. PC Talkie version should be played though. Nice voice work.
