I prefer this one over the original game. It has music and sound effects together, the gameplay is more varied and I enjoyed more of the levels and boss fights. My favourite levels were the Wacky Waterfalls and Fiery Fire, whilst my favourite boss was Nigel the Nest Bird. The game also had two sub games which were fine. The controls felt more responsive and the level design was better. Overall then, I will give the game an 8/10, a competent platformer which is fun to play even today.

I always liked a game like this on the Amiga. A simple no nonsense platformer that you could pick up and play with the joystick with the minimum of fuss.
Classic well designed humorous platform action with super smooth parallax scrolling. The only real downer i felt was the rather weak sound. 8/10

Despite being visually inferior than its Megadrive counterpart, Chuck Rock II is a respectable platfomer as far as audio and video are concerned. It is also a marked improvement from the predecessor in aspects like collisions and controls (up to jump again, anyways) while it's quite more conventional gameplay wise. All in all, Son of Chuck might not be the best or most original platformer ever, but it's a very nice jump'n run for the Amiga (7/10).

Didn't like this one as much as liked the first, despite the better resonance this one seemed to have with the Amiga crowds back in the day. I felt it was average in every way and even now, after replaying it via emulation, I feel pretty much the same way.

Yep, that damn baby got right on my nerves too! When it boils down to it, it's just really Chuck Rock looking slightly better.

I didn't like it for two reasons. 1) the baby annoys me. 2) the game does nothing to improve on its predecessor.
I can see why people liked it, but I don't ever want to buy two different games and then get exactly the same gaming experience in style, graphic and sound.

Better than the first one which was overrated except the intro music in my opinion. This one was good ,the first one..so and so.

Superb game with interesting, replayable levels and cool cartoon graphics. The humour from it's prequel is carried over into this game, and I'm really happy about that!
There were some amazing characters in this one, a very memorable cast indeed. And the music and sound effects were impressive too. I really like this game a lot.

This was a great one! I got this for my niece and neph who loved the first one and got it the same year they got their A500. We pretty much played the crap out of both. Very funny stuff! In some ways the graphics looked better but in others they did not. Perhaps the characters were a bit more complex and interesting but overall the game ultimately paled a little bit to the sharpness of the first game. (notices below..) ah...downgraded for a different platform even before it leaves the Amiga. Hell, do it for Amiga and then downgrade it for those other saps!! Isn't that the way it was supposed to be done?!!
Still, can't deny the fun!

Better than the first game, although the graphics are not as good as in the prequel, which is quite surprising.

I was a bit disappointed by the graphics of the Chuck Rock sequel, clearly, they had been designed with the Mega Drive/Genesis's smaller palette in mind, and it showed, with tons of dithering everywhere. The cool bitmap rotation/zooming/warping effects of the Genesis version seem to be missing as well. I recommend the Mega Drive/Genesis version over this. The game itself is still decent, though, with heavily improved level design compared to the original "Chuck Rock".

This is among the best platform for Amiga ever, technically excellent (with a lot of parallax layers) and colourful graphics, it is also funny and is rich of touches of class, great Core Design!

Same graphics and sound principles as the original, yet this one seemed to play better. Playing as the baby with the big club was just more fun that the man with the big gut

This had some nice GFX and sound and was a bit better than the original which you would hope for anyway

The Son of Chuck also rocks, using some sort of bat to smack those creatures, but his dad usually use his leg and his stomach in the first one. Same kind of graphics as the first Chuck Rock game, some of the tunes are good and the sounds are very good.

The first Amiga game I played (I know I was late in to the scene...) but this absolutely a killer... Much better than the original.

Well, this was rather fun even if a bit forced fun while it lasted. Way too easy. It didn't take long to beat the game.

The only Chuck Rock I've played and this was awesome, one of the few worth playing platformers, this has some of the most beautiful sprites seen in platformers, and some of the baddies and very large too! Great Game!
