"Jungle Strike" is not even close when compared with excellent "Desert Strike". Graphics are less appealing and they do not create that specific atmosphere that existed in the prequel. Even though there are three versions available (ECS, AGA and CD32) none of them is really showing the true potential of the system they are made for (In fact AGA version works on ECS chipset but requires 2 MB of Chip Ram). Sound and music are also weaker, less climatic and very repetitive and mundane. Overall, however weak above mentioned may sound, the game is not bad - it is quite good and entertaining but only if you look at it not as a sequel. "Jungle Strike" is a pure arcade game with smooth animation (much less jerky than in "Desert Strike" ) and almost not existing tactics element so much loved in the predecessor.

Not even close to been as good as desert strike. The first mission is terrible, its just a few identical houses and square road blocks.

Nice, not more.
The intro is really crap when you have seen the one with actors on the PC.
The game itself is sometimes boring. Washington has around 10 houses and most time you have to simple destroy target a, then b etc. No new weapons, no new details...

I likes desert strike more than this but it is playable.

I think this was a follow up from the Desert Strike series and I liked this, nice GFX yet good gameplay.
