We are farmers, entrepreneurs, young people, and students living together in a regenerative village

Living in a regenerative lifestyle means that everyone here gives something to the project

We are 13 people between 25 and 40 years old and 2 kids trying.

At the heart of La Junquera is a community of entrepreneurs, dedicated growers, students, and academics.

We are….

  • Alfonso Chico de Guzmán

    El Alcalde

I am Alfonso, I have lived in La Junquera since 2012. I mainly work in the agricultural part of the farm and implement regenerative practices such as swales, infiltration, and sediment traps and ponds. I love to dream, plan new projects and spend time with the cows.

  • Elena Chico de Guzmán

    Potential Farmer

My name is Elena, I love feeding the chickens and playing with Taiga and the calf. My job on the farm is to give the horses too many apples and move tools from their original place so they are difficult to find. I have also helped peel almond shells and harvest grapes.

  • Yanniek Schoonhoven

    La ”Yenny”

My name is Yanniek, I am from the Netherlands, and I have been living in La Junquera since 2017. I am involved in many parts of the farm and its projects such as the Regeneration Academy, education, and research of regenerative practices.

In my free time, I enjoy caring for animals, training horses, and undertaking new projects.

  • Jacobo Monereo

    El “Janco”

I am Jacobo and I have been living in La Junquera since 2019. I work at the Regeneration Academy. Going into the workshop to do any type of work with wood or metal is what I like to do the most in my free time. Producer of hot peppers and occasional cider maker.

  • Jackie

    Village Keeper

I'm Jackie, I passed through La Junquera more than 4 years ago and decided to stay to watch over and take care of the town. I love to be petted, bark at night and eat lamb.

  • Silvia Quarta

    La “señora”

I am Silvia, I arrived at La Junquera in 2019 and I have stayed due to astral conjunctions.

I coordinate Camp Altiplano. I love having calluses on my hands, taking a hot bath, having a beer at the Topares bar, and being alone on the farm when everyone leaves.

  • Iñigo Flores

    Le “Flor”

My name is Iñigo, I have been living in La Junquera since 2019. I like to materialize ideas of furniture and sculptures in iron. Occasional producer of chilies and cecina.

  • Daniel Nieto

    El “Danieh”

I am Daniel and wanting to delve into the world of the vineyard, I arrived at La Junquera in September 2020. Although I missed the sea and the coves of my native coast, I enjoy getting lost in the corners of this steppe landscape. Pruner, vermiculturist apprentice, and everyday more with my feet (and head) on the ground.

  • Julia Casado

    La “señorisima”

I am Julia and since 2016 I have dedicated myself to the artisanal production of natural wines in the Bullas-Cehegín area. I moved with my Modular Cellar and my project, La del Terreno, to La Junquera in August 2020. Since then I produce some of my wines on the farm and I participate and live together in La Junquera through common projects related to the world of wine and the vineyard. Before dedicating myself to wine, I was a cellist and lived in Germany... Now I don't usually play, but in my cellar, you will always find good music :)

  • Taiga

    Taigi

I'm Taiga and I don't remember very well when I arrived but I'm not very old, maybe I'm 5 years old or so, but I don't know the truth, is that old for a dog? wait a minute, I haven't eaten today, or yes, well I love sleeping and eeeeem…what was I saying…well I love being in La Junquera.

  • Rodrigo Vargas

    El “Wose”

I am Rodrigo, I decided to change my life and go to the countryside with my best friends and learn to regenerate. Now I live in La Junquera in a way that is more in keeping with my feelings.

I love to make music, draw and climb mountains in my spare time.

We are the generation of regeneration, want to join?

  • Julia Argentim

    La “Yuli”

I'm Yuli, I've been living in La Junquera since 2020, and I work in the creative part of A Regenerar. Knowing and discovering myself is what fills me the most, and I feel that living close to nature helps us a lot to find that inner well-being. Art seems fundamental to the development of the human being, so in my spare time I dedicate myself to CREATING ART.

  • Gabriel Molina

    El “Gabri”

I am Gabri and I have been living in La Junquera since 2020. I am a sociologist tired of the theory and the illogicality of life in the city. Together with my best friends we created A Regenerar, our life project. Planting trees and communicating the latest in regeneration is our day to day. 🖖🏽😜

  • Estrella y Levante

    Controladores de plagas

We are called Estrella y Levante, we arrived in La Junquera in May 2021, when we were super small. Now we dedicate ourselves to keeping the mice on the farm at bay and doing cat therapy with humans. We love sleeping on the sofa and being caressed.
