A homeowner captured the fireball from a Ring camera in Redding.
The clip showed a bright ball in the sky flash before disappearing along the horizon.
Astronomers said Friday night is when the Southern Taurids meteor shower was set to peak. It's known for creating very bright fireballs in the sky.
Astronomers said this shower is expected to include an increased number of bright flashes.
