Bundle Stars has once again put it's grabbers out to pull you in for another great bundle. This is the 'Fully Loaded Bundle', featuring 10 new bundle Steam keys that are packed full of fun. Games list includes Wrack, Dark, BlazeRush, Onikira, Super Toy Cars, Magnetic By Nature, Silence of the Sleep, The Joylancer, The Detail Episode 1 and Z. As for my personal favourite, The Joylancer ; An action plaforming game, combining technical action in a retro style!

Hot off the press, Earok has just released (about 5mins ago) The Special Earok 2015 Birthday Mix Disc for Amiga CD32 owners. If you have a C64 with an EasyFlash capable device such as the 1541 Ultimate or using the C64 emulator WinVICE, then you owe it to yourself to download and play the latest Dizzy EasyFlash collection. Thanks to Retro-Nerd from EAB after much nagging from myself, has put together this release which features pretty much all of the Dizzy games and even my requested Dizzy like game, Seymour. Maxwell Mouse And The Missing Game Mystery - New Amiga title with a Dizzy influence

What a fantastic Jan this is turning out to be with so many new Amiga and C64 titles to get through that give new life to those fantastic machines. Yesterday for example saw the announcement of Maxwell Mouse and The Missing Game Mystery; a flip-screen platform/adventure game with influences from Dizzy and old 8-bit platformers.

Lethal Weapon - Amiga action platformer is now PC playable

Lethal Weapon developed by Ocean way back in 1992 is the latest game to get the PC playable treatment by The Company.PL. An action platform game based on the original Lethal Weapon movies in which you need to kill bad guys with different weapons across multiple platforms. The graphics, while decent enough for the time gave enough clarity to the demo while remaining both entertaining and having just the right amount of difficulty to be a challenge to most Amiga gamers.

Boxx 2 - Lemming880 releases a fun homebrew sequel for the Amiga

As an Amiga owner and a fan of homebrew releases I was pleasantly surprised by the latest release of 'Boxx 2'; a new Amiga title developed by Lemming880 of EAB that features more than it's fair share of fun. A run and jump platform game developed in backbone where your goal is to collect all the coins and kill the baddies. Boxx 2 features worthy enough detail, bright colours and cool game play which would usually be found from indie developers on such sites as Gamejolt. A fun game indeed and one that works well enough even on the Amiga 500 & Amiga 1200.

Abstract Bundle - Bundle Stars bundle mash up

Bundle Stars gave us the shout out in our email to let us know about the last bundle they have put together for multi-genre junkies like ourselves. "Abstract Bundle" as it's named, features 10 steam games for only £1.99! In this fine bundle, it has Secrets of Raetikon, Megabyte Punch, Velocibox, Knights of Pen and Paper, Great Permutator, Meltdown, PixelJunk Monsters Ultimate, PixelJunk Shooter, Pulstar and Vangers. So a lot to have fun with but as for our choice, Knights of pen and paper, a highly addictive turn-based, retro style, pixel-art RPG, inspired by the great titles of the 90's.

Lemmings Pre-Release Demo - The lost Amiga soundtrack!

Here's something you don't see every day as Cauterize from EAB has come across an old 1990's pre-release demo of Lemmings; which was a puzzle-platformer video game originally published by Psygnosis for the Amiga in 1991. According to Cauterize it features a different title screen, varied music and a new level ordering. What was also interesting about this pre-release demo as mentioned by s2325, was a "lost" soundtrack. The music cannot be heard throughout the demo itself, but rather the mod files need to be extracted out of the disk. Also according to S2325, Mindless at lemmingsforums.net was the one to extract the data files. The tracks in this set are sorted in a random order, as there is no way to figure out on which levels the tracks were assigned. So here we have the full soundtrack, available to listen to on Youtube.

Lunar Jetman Remake - ZX Spectrum original gets a fantastic PC overhaul!

Finally after all this time of waiting in excitement, James of Nebula Design has just contacted me to tell me the faithful PC remake of the hit ZX Spectrum classic "Lunar Jetman" is now available to play! First developed by Ultimate Play The Game in 1983 and the second in the Jetman series, this was one of the most highly regarded classics of it's time as you play as Jetman to locate and destroy (with the bomb) a series of alien bases on the surface of the moon. Now you can play the Windows version in all HD 1080p graphical glory, with smooth parallax scrolling and 1 or 2 players. A brilliant remake, for a brilliant classic!

Until I Have You - Fast paced retro aesthetic platformer

Many years ago a game was released called Abuse, in which it had two control types both keyboard and mouse, one for moving and one for aiming and shooting. So here we are with "Until I Have You" sporting that same control scheme with added frustration and retro aesthetics. A platformer based on skill developed using AGS, it will push you to the brink as you jump platforms, slash with knife and shoot with gun. Featuring 8-bit sound effects, chiptune music, innovative controls(?), 8 levels, cinematic scenes, slow motion, boss fights and parallax this is our recommended game of the day, even if it is really hard!

Ninja Commando +44D [crazy hack] - Hackersoft cracks a classic C64 game!

First released by Zeppelin Games in 1989, in Ninja Commando you play as a Ninja that has to finish several levels filled with platforms, baddies and deadly surfaces. Enemy Ninja's can be killed by hopping on their heads, but be careful because if you time it wrong you'll get touched and die. Thankfully weapons can be collected such as bombs, flame throwers and guns which should make it easier for you. A hard game indeed and thanks to Hackersoft, it's now filled with usable cheats and a great cracktro!

Defeated - WIP Amiga Ghosts n Goblins inspired game

"Nobody" of EAB has spent much of his time developing the latest Ghosts n Goblins & Myth inspired game "Defeated" for the Amiga. Using 16bit colours and available as a work in progress demo, the developer has certainly shown his inspirations with spear throwing difficulty, and frustratingly difficult to avoid enemies. Even as an early progress demo, it certainly is looking to be heading towards a fine release as the detail looks impressive enough and easy to master controls.

Cool Spot - 100% working Amiga release new for 2015!

What a brilliant start to 2015, especially for Amiga gamers as Stingray of EAB has just announced the release of a 100% working Amiga version of the platforming classic "Cool Spot". As requested by a number of other members, this version not only has 12 trainer options, but is fixed for 680x0/AGA and has an optimized Scoopex trainer menu. First released by Virgin games for a multitude of systems in the early 90's, just like Chupa Chups tried to make their products more popular by creating Zool,  Cool Spot was used as a way to sell the popular drink 7up! The object of the game is to complete each level with the highest possible coolness factor, and to free your friends at the end of each mission.

Tai Chi Tortoise +47D - Platforming fun for C64

Another C64 release which has been cracked and given a new +47D trainer is Zeppelin Games 1991 arcade platformer "Tai chi Tortoise". A 1 player side scrolling platformer, and with a ZX Spectrum conversion, you play as a Tortoise that jumps on platforms, collects items, finds treasure chests and avoids deadly enemies. A rather frustrating platformer as the jumping can be a bit iffy, has been given the trainer treatment by Hackersoft and is once again playable with lots of lovely cheats.

Smurf Rescue - A new platformer for the Amiga!

Mikael Persson (know as Hipoonios) who created the recent Super Ted Amiga game, has just announced via EAB "Smurf Rescue"; An Amiga platformer in which you play as Smurfette (The female Smurf) and your mission is to save all the Smurfs from the evil wizard Gargamel. Available in both ADF and HD installable form, Smurf Rescue uses graphics from Lollypop with most of the sprites from The Smurf on the Sega Mega Drive & Game Gear and voices from Katy Perry.

Crystal Picnic - Colourful action-RPG now available

Crystal Picnic developed by Nooskewl is another retro inspired game that is full of both charm and colourful SNES styled detail. Join a sarcastic gardener and a wannabe knight as they journey across the kingdom chasing after ants who stole magic crystals from the castle. With hours worth of exploration, RPG stats, platform style combat and crazy enemies, this is one Action RPG we'd recommend!

The Joylancer: Legendary Motor Knight - Retro inspired action Steam early access!

Today we are going to take a look at " The Joylancer : Legendary Motor Knight" developed by Alpha Six Productions ; a fast paced action packed platformer that is available as early access through Steam and a funding campaign at fundrazr. Featuring a unique idea of multiple colour modes to give it that authentic retro look, you play as Joy Lantz, The Joylancer on a mission to stop the Roselian Army that threatens to take over the peaceful lands of Antoria.

Cherry Picker - Crazy arcade platformer for C64

Probably the craziest C64 game I've seen this year and that's just the screeching loader and in game music, as Dinasours has released "Cherry Picker"; An arcade platforming game in which you need to collect cherries, while avoiding baddies and water. Oh and watch out for the spikes as well, or you'll end up dying many times over, just like I did!

Wonder Dog - Core Design's classic platformer for Amiga CD32

Another release for the Amiga CD32 treatment by Earok, is none other than "Wonder Dog"; one of the very first arcade platforming games developed for the Mega CD. Although it was released for the Amiga, this is an Amiga CD32 version and Cobe has ported the lengthy intro from that version of the game to the CDXL format. Play as Wonder Dog, who must reunite with his new found friend and save the planet K-9 from the Pit Bull invasion!
