Deuteros being the sequel to Millennium 2.2 was one of the greatest space strategy games ever released and thanks to Kevin Fernhout, you can play his early alpha version V140822 released today.

Ambermoon - Incredible classic RPG - Amiga HD install ready!

After much nagging by myself, Ambermoon is now available in an easily playable HD package for your Amiga. Originally released in 1993 for the Amiga by Thalion Software, Ambermoon was the second part of an unfinished trilogy and sequel to Amberstar that was only released in Germany. In was an incredible RPG for it's time, and featured 3D graphics that were considered revolutionary for the Amiga, but sadly for the company it couldn't save them from collapse.

It seems as if there are still some issues with PPC as Toni Wilen has released another beta update to the Amiga emulator WinUAE. Bloodwych - Classic Dungeon Crawler RPG gets a remake!

First released in 1989 and published by Image Works, Bloodwych was a Dungeon Crawling RPG that appeared on the Amiga, Amstrad, Atari ST, C64, DOS and ZX Spectrum. Not only was it a great RPG with one such magazine rating it as a serious consideration from dungeon fanatics. Bloodwych had Innovative spells, great monsters, a good interface, and allowed 2 players to play simultaneously. Fast forward to today and Mad Bone Productions(Wishbone/MadMunky) have released the latest HTML/Javascript build to the gaming public. WinUAE 2.8.2(2.9.0) Beta 11 - AmigaOS 4.1 classic now bootable!

Over these last few weeks or so, Toni Wilen has been hard at work on the latest version of the Amiga Emulator WinUAE, which provided brand new features for PPC emulation. But as is the case with beta's, Toni was not happy with the current bug problems that caused a number of issues including a non bootable AmigaOS 4.1. But the good news today is, the developer has released WinUAE 2.9.0 beta 11 which not just fixes bugs but allows AmigaOS 4.1 Classic to boot. It would be well worth you updating if you wish to use AmigaOS 4.1 and to get the latest other bug fixes included in the changelog.

Amiga Music Compilation disks from Aaron White (@aaronub4t)

Aaron White (@aaronub4t on twitter) graciously sent me an ADF copy of his compilation of nice protracker tunes (Retro Asylum vol.1 and 2) which are a collection of tracker songs from his youtube channel and a couple of new ones between the 2 disks, both of which are available hosted on Commodore Is Awesome. While the tunes are mostly available to listen to (and watch the tracker) on YouTube, you'll only get the bonus tracks Firefrenzy (reworked) and Nimble Jim Title from the native disk version.

Deuteros : The Next Millennium - New Alpha V.0.1.16 Remake Release!

Originally designed by Ian Bird and released in 1991 as a sequel to Millennium 2.2, Deuteros was an incredible Space Strategy game for it's time and I feel there is nothing like it still today. The object of the game was to mine resources, research new tech and to colonize further out into the solar system. But it was both the construction, the story, the immersion, the space battles and ship control which set it above many of the games even released today. So gamers that remember this fine title will be pleased to know that a PC fan based remake is now in the works by Gambit.

Although not a feature release, it would be worth updating, as beta 10 fixes more bugs from beta 9.
