Time Gal - LaserDisc Anime gets a special Amiga release by ReImagine Games!

It's a Friday and it's time to get ready for the weekend, but if going out and getting drunk isn't your thing, how about playing the latest Amiga release from our good friends ReImagine Games 'Time Gal'. Now if you've followed our news throughout last year you would've read that LaserDisc support was added to the Amiga emulator WinUAE, as generally LaserDisc games were played via an Arcade cabinet using Amiga 500 hardware, along with a genlock and a laserdisc player. And so it's with great pleasure to announce Taito's 1985 LaserDisc game Time Gal, which has been ported over to the Amiga CD32 and Amiga HDD with upcoming cover by Steve.

Amiga CD 32 Batman Tribute - I'm BATMAAAAAAAAN on the Amiga CD32

In 1989 gamers from the around the world had the pleasure of playing Ocean Software's action based game 'Batman ' The Movie ', which is based on the 1989 film of the same name and released on the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Apple II, Atari ST, C64, MS-DOS and even the ZX Spectrum. It is such a well known game that it has lived on in the hearts of many, and as such has re-appeared today but this time as a simulation Amiga CD32 Batman Tribute.

Boxx Trilogy CD32/SX32 - Lemming880's Boxx bonanza on the Amiga CD32

As an Amiga owner and a fan of homebrew releases I was pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable Lemming880's platformer ' Boxx 2 ' and ' Boxx 3 ' was on the Amiga system, especially with added bright and bold colourful detail. Both of these games were developed using backbone and required you the player to collect as many coins as possible, avoid deadly traps, kill bad bosses and finally reach the exit to complete the level. But today's news is a Boxx bonanza, as Cobe, Earok and of course the all important Lemming880, have released the Boxx Trilogy for the CD32/SX32.

CD32X-men Mind Games - Unreleased 32X title makes an appearance on the Amiga

We are only one day into 2017 and already the news is making a highlight on the Amiga and Amiga CD32, as we are welcoming ' CD32X-men: Mind Games ' into the new year. This is a rather unusual first person shooter that was actually going to be released on the Sega 32x by Scavenger, who are well known for making great games on the Sega Mega Drive. Sadly this game never made it to the 32x as it was cancelled in 1996 and was never seen again, at least until now. Thanks once again to the hardwork of the Amiga community, CD32X-men: Mind Games has been released on the Amiga and Amiga CD32.

Cybernoid CD32 Compilation - A pre 2017 treat on the Amiga CD32 by Hungry Horace

When I was contacted by Earok earlier today, I just knew a new Amiga CD32 release was coming, and sure enough here we have the ' Cybernoid CD32 Compilation ' by Hungry Horace. These are two fantastic games on the Amiga and more especially the first one Cybernoid, as it was first released way back in 1987 by Hewson Consultants for the Amstrad CPC, C64, ZX Spectrum and later the Amiga. In fact the first game was rated very highly by many magazines for a shoot 'em up in the 8-bit era, and more so for the theme tune by Jeroen Tel which appeared on the C64.

After every Christmas some people make New Years resolutions, and mine is to get an Amiga CD32 because there have been so many releases for the system such as this one by Cobe ' Press Play on Pad : The Demoscene Collection ' that now is the right time to get one. In actual fact with all the games we've been getting this new addition to the library makes the package pretty much complete, especially as it features 32 wicked demoscene productions on a single disc, almost all AGA titles!

Classed as their most daring top down shooter on the Amiga in recent years, this fine looking game featuring smooth 50hz 8 way scrolling, will be coming exclusively to all AGA Amigas, such as the CD32, A1200 and A4000 in Q3 of 2017.

More! Lemmings - An Amiga Jay Unofficial CD32 Release for Christmas [Flashtro UPDATE]

During the early part of this year 2016, it was the 25th Anniversary of DMA Design's ' Lemmings '. A game published by Psygnosis way back in the early 90's for the Amiga, Atari ST and PC and regarded by many as one of the greatest games ever and featured many blue, green haired Lemmings that could be blown up, ripped apart and dropped from the highest of points before they even hope to reach that exit. But it wasn't just the digging, blocking and thought worthy gameplay that made people love it so, but it had some really chippy tunes that sound great today, even remixed! Thus as a special release by Amiga Jay he has unofficially released the More! Lemmings extravaganza on the Amiga CD32.

Defender of the Crown - Extended Collector's Edition by Cinemaware Retro - Unboxed!

When I was a teen in the 90's I was a massive fan and collector of the Cinemaware line up on the Amiga such as Defender of the Crown, It Came from the Desert and my all time favourite Wings. But even though a remastered edition of Wings was later released on the PC through a successful Kickstarter campaign, I have still been eagerly awaiting the collectors edition of the Defender of the Crown released by Cinemaware Retro for multiple systems including even the Amiga CD32. Thus today in my hands are "TWO" Defender of the Crown Extended Collector's Editions, both signed with one of them opened up just for you.

Fresh off the press AmigaJay has announced the release of a rather rare Puzzle game, that is now playable on both original Amiga CD32's and via emulation. This game is called Candy Puzzle and is better known as a CUBO CD32 original, and was released by CD express in Milan way back in 1994. For those of you who don't know anything about the CUBO CD32, it was an arcade machine with CD32 internals hence this game not appearing on the home system, at least until now.

Heart Of The Alien Redux Amiga CD32 - Another World sequel as an Amiga port is updated to beta 5!

It wasn't long ago the Sega CD exclusive ' Heart of the Alien ' appeared on the Amiga as an incredible port known as ' Heart Of The Alien Redux Amiga V1.0. The sequel to the amazing 1991 Delphine Software ' Another World ', but instead was developed by Interplay Entertainment. Was fully ported over with everything intact. And it was also no wonder it ended up also getting an optimised Amiga CD32 version by DJM and released as a beta. Yet fast forward to today however and Earok has made available an even better version as beta 5.
