Lacim's Legacy - In development RPG for Atari Lynx looks sublime


Welcome to our very first Atari Lynx news submission, a brand new game announced by Martin Wendt of PriorArt, that is sure to excite many who had this hand held released way back in the late 80's to early 90's. This game known as ' Lacim's Legacy ' is a work in progress isometric RPG by Dan 'Zooperdan' Thoresen and Martin Wendt, where quality excels and gameplay is in abundance.

CD32 and Beer multiplayer compilation November 2018 edition!


Another month and another CD32 and Beer Multiplayer compilation, and unlike the previous ones we mentioned featuring platformers, racers, vehicular shooters and sports, this one is for the people who like fighting games! Yes indeed Earok is back with another great Amiga CD32 pack and for those of you who love a good brawl or kick to a Goblins rear end, will be pleased to know this compilation features a whole host of cool games such as Double Dragon, Golden Axe, Battle Toads and even Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade.

Amiga CD32 Anthology Set 1 - The first of Amiga Jay's unofficial CD32 packs


Throughout these last few years we've featured pretty much all of Amiga Jay's unofficial Amiga CD32 releases, from the incredible Point and Click Adventure games, to NEO The Complete Amiga Works and even the huge 50 CD32 Game Multi-Disc! But now Amiga Jay has gone even further, as earlier today he has released the first in the Amiga CD32 Anthology; an unofficial anthology of all the best releases he has done so far packed into 4 disks per pack.

The Star Wars Demo by Censor Design 2018 ranks 1st place at C64 X 2018 party!


This years C64 party, the X 2018, went out with a bang this year. As from around the world talented C64 groupies came forward, to show their talent in demo scene creation to win that top spot in the competition. It was without doubt a truely great compo and as such out of 20th placed C64 demos and 6th C64 4k demos, there was one almighty winner and one I feel that will really stand out even with Star Wars fans.... Dizzy's New Adventure - A Dizzy fan game like never before!


We've featured many Dizzy fan games over the years, games such as Adventure Land Dizzy, Dizzy The Last Hero, Sunken Castle Dizzy and even the brilliant Dizzy The Last Hero v2 to name but a few. But now there's a new Dizzy fan game that caught our eye and that's Dizzy's New Adventure; a demo by Verm-V and Luis Zuno that is sure to excite every Dizzy gamer since the 80's!

Alley Cat - Atari/DOS cat classic as a ZX Spectrum demake, gets a beta update


It's time for some ZX Spectrum news now as we have just been told via our Twitter feed, that Jordi has released a beta update to his in-development Alley Cat Demake, which is coming to the ZX Spectrum via the ZX-Dev MIA remake competition. This game was originally released on the Atari 8bit in 1983 and MS-DOS in 1984 by Bill Williams and published by Synapse Software, and puts you in control of Freddy the Cat on a challenging mission to rescue his Cat love, Felicia.

Nogalious - Multiplatform retro inspired game gets an MSX Trailer prior to its release.


As most of you were made aware by now LUEGOLU3GO STUDIO's had announced their retro inspired platformer game ' Nogalious ', was not only made available via shipping but was also released via Steam for the PC platform, with an upcoming development for the Amstrad, C64, ZX Spectrum and MSX. Well if you weren't interested in the PC version, you'll be pleased to know the team behind the game have teased the last video of Nogalious (MSX Cartridge Version) prior to its release and distribution!

Crimson Knight Adventures

The Amstrad has gone crazy this month as there have been so many games mentioned for the CPCRetroDEV 2018 competition, that the record has been broken for submissions, with a massive number of 41 games entered! Which beats the previous 29 by a big margin. In fact we have already mentioned some of the hopeful winners already as Legend of Steel,  The Adventures of Timothy Gunn and even Operation Alexandra that hope to be crowned overall winner.

Legend of Steel - A new Amstrad game by TOD Studios is looking very good indeed!


With the end results of the CPCRetroDEV fast approaching and plenty of Amstrad games to play, one such game in the competition that we are eagerly awaiting to load up on our Amstrad CPC is TOD Studios 'Legend of Steel'. This game which we have mentioned earlier as a top down hack and slash with high quality graphics, has recently appeared in our twitter feed but this time with a video teaser that shows just how good this upcoming Amstrad game actually looks.

Flimbo's Quest - A fun filled platformer is coming to the Atari XL/XE (Alpha Available)


This weekend has just got even better as solo/ng has announced that the Alpha conversion of ' Flimbo's Quest ' for the Atari XL/XE, has been released via a New Generation for Silly Venture 2018! A game that was first released by System 3 for the C64, Amiga, Atari ST and Amstrad CPC in 1990, is a 2D Platformer with great retro detail, great gameplay and a soundtrack that is so upbeat you'll find it hard to stop listening to.

LIMBO C64 - Modern Indie game as a work in progress on the C64 gets a preview download!


If you were a fan of the game Limbo with its dark backgrounds and horror overtone, then as a retro gamer you might be surprised to learn that the Limbo C64 work in progress version by Søren Trautner Madsen has been made available as an early preview download by Excess. This game which has been shown off a number of times now through our site, was given full blessing by Playdead, who allowed him to port LIMBO to the C64!

Rick Dangerous coming to the Sega Master System gets an update


Some time back we mentioned that Rick Dangerous; a great platformer released on the Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, and DOS, with an unofficial port on the Colecovision June of this year. Was coming to the Sega Master System as a port by ichigo@ichigobankai_. Well there's good news, as fast forward to this week and a new video has been teased showing a new zone area with different types of collision and objects! Although the Sprite flickering routine has been inhibited (will be rewritten).
