Initial Objectives:
Objective One:
Locate
The warheads are located somewhere underground. Locate the entrance to the underground complex.
Objective Two:
Objective Three:
Objective Four:
As we begin this mission, you'll find yourself behind some rocks. You can go left or right from the cover of the rocks and enter the front area in front of the compound we must infiltrate. Take control of Foley and have the rest of your party stay still. Go rightward and crouch down on the ground. Take aim at the enemy in front of you walking around, and put one in him to get him to the ground. What's unfortunate is that you, as Foley, don't have your silenced sniper rifle, so the noise made will alert the rest of the Iraqis in the area of your presence, and the alarm will go off. This is basically impossible to avoid, so you might as well start clipping Iraqis from the get-go and make things easier on yourself.
Once the first man is clipped, there should be one to his left that you should take out as well. Ahead is a gunner in a ditch on a mounted machine gun that you need to take out as well. More men will be coming at you which you can clip with Foley and his sniper rifle as well, but by this time, you're probably going to want to run forward with all four men (taking control of Bradley) and run towards the building ahead of you. Use it as cover and take control of Foley again. Go right around the corner of the building once the coast is clear and follow the building as it turns right again. There's another gunner that we need to take out here, but it's going to be difficult to do it and not get hit. Make sure Foley is completely healed. Crouch down on your knee (or if you want incredible accuracy, get down on your stomach) and roll over and shoot the gunner as soon as you can. Once he's clipped, the coast should be clear for your party to proceed onward.
As you proceed up the now-empty road, you'll come across a building on your left near the road that has an open door. Go into this building, and immediately on your right, on a desk, you'll find some items. These items are primarily explosives, and since Jones is our explosives expert, we're going to want to have him take the three C4 Plastic Explosives and the C4 Detonator. We'll need those later. When he's grabbing those, you'll likely be seen by Iraqi soldiers through the windows in the building facing outward, so have the three other men positioned so that they can clip them easily (they'll have to have the Fire At Will command on though!).
The rest of the building shouldn't be explored, since there isn't anything of interest within. Have your group go outside now and continue up the road where you'll find more enemy resistance ahead. If things get too heated, you can always go back to the building we were just in to seek cover from the enemy fire. Don't go too far ahead, however! There's another mounted machine gun installation ahead that we need to take out. Foley, of course, is yet again the man for the job. Have the rest of the men, once the coast is clear of any ground soldiers, stay behind the building out of the way from the fire of the mounted machine gun ahead. Take Foley, have him hit the ground and crawl forward. Once in sight of the Iraqi behind the machine gun, he'll likely see you, so quickly clip him before he can do too much damage! The building to your right, as well, has a RPK-74 Light Machine Gun and RPK-74 Light Machine Gun Ammo, which you can equip on any of your soldiers.
Take control of Bradley now that the coast is clear and have all men on you. Proceed towards the installation where we just killed the soldier prior, and run towards the door in the corner behind it. You'll notice that there are windows to the right of the door - soldiers within the building will likely see you approaching their position, so be ready to shoot a few Iraqis inside while still outside. Then, approach the door, which you will find is locked.
Have the rest of your men stand outside of the windows and fire at the soldiers coming through and shooting at you, and have Jones, who, if you remember, just got C4, approach the door. It'll give you a Plant C4 prompt, so do so. Plant one charge only, then retreat, with the rest of your party, to a safe distance away from the door. Once at a safe distance, equip the C4 Detonator on Jones and click it to blow the door off of its hinges, granting you access to the building it was protecting.
Once inside the building, it'll likely be completely devoid of any enemies (since you took them all out when you were still outside through the windows). If you encounter any, simply put a few bullets into them to knock them to the ground permanently. From the first room (which has nothing of interest in it), branch off to the corridor going left, into a room full of goods for your party. Before grabbing those goods, go forward into the next corridor and face right. There's almost always an Iraqi soldier waiting for you here, so take him out now so he's not clipping you when you're trying to grab the goods in the room. Then, go back to the stockpile we just passed by.
In this room, you'll find a lot of goods. You'll find four Phosphorous Grenades, a PK Light Machine Gun, PK Light Machine Gun Ammo, four M67 Fragmentation Grenades, an RPK-74 Light Machine Gun, and RPK-74 Light Machine Gun Ammo. That's a lot of goods to give to the four men in your elite unite! With those all in hand, work your way back to the corridor where we killed the sitting Iraqi soldier just a little while earlier, go down this corridor, and open the door at the end of it to find yourself back outside.
Once outside, clip the enemy in front of you, but then run back inside quickly once the alarm starts to sound, because to your left, you'll find another mounted machine gun that we'll need to take out before we go any further. Have Foley as your lead man and keep the rest of the men safe inside of the corridor. Lean out to your right and look left and clip the machine gunner before he spots you. You'll also want to take out the machine gunner on a mounted machine gun further behind where you killed the original Iraqi soldier, clearing the path for the other three soldiers in your party to go outside and start clipping the enemy resistance.
A tank will eventually appear, but the beauty of where this tank appears is that the machine gunners' nest in front of the tank won't allow its shells to pass by it, therefore keeping you completely safe, anywhere in front of it, from being shelled. It's a beautiful thing! You'll want to take out the gunner on top of the tank, however, as he can still be a hell of a nuisance. When things have calmed down, and all that's there is your four men and the tank, the next (complex) part of the mission begins - destroying the tank.
Run across the safe (from the tank) road to the little garage-like building to your right. In here, you'll find the tools you'll need to destroy this tank and make the area safe for you and your party. Keep everyone but Bradley in the corridor (in case the tank's shells start to actually hit, which I've found does happen from time to time, making the above walkthrough moot), and run Bradley to the garage I described above. Within this garage, you'll find the vitals for destroying the tank - three RPG-7 Anti Tank Rocket Launchers, and two Medi-Kits as well.
The tank will likely be focused on your position since your other three men are in the corridor to your left. We need to distract the tank because of this. Take any of the three men out of the corridor and run him straight at the tank, but staying behind the safety of the machine gun position. This means the shells will explode every time they are shot at you. If the tank doesn't see you, shoot a few rounds with your gun at it to make it see you. Then, switch back to Bradley and run straight ahead and bear left, behind the building. The tank turret turns slowly, so you should be okay.
If the tank shells you from here, it'll likely hit the building and cause some or no damage to Bradley. Go behind the building, get on the ground and crawl forward until you see the back of the Iraqi tank. Have the RPG-7 equipped on Bradley and pound the back end of the tank with one well-placed missile, which will send it up in smoke. With that done, have all your men on you and run to the back end of the area. Open the door at the left side of the building there and enter the corridor beyond.
Follow this linear corridor as it winds to a door on your right which is closed, and a door in front of you, which leads outward. Fire outside to kill any enemies that are of an immediate threat, and then bear rightward into the room there, where you'll find a veritable stockpile of goodies for you and your party! Before grabbing any of the goods, run outside and clip all of the enemies. Foley is especially useful here with his sniper rifle in the window of the room with all of the goods. Have him snipe away while the other three characters go outside and clear all of the foes. When all of the actual foes are dead outside, a tank appears.
We're going to have to "waste" two RPG-7 Rockets on this tank, because we really can't get to the back of the tank to do a one hit kill. This is because if we get behind the tank, another tank appears, along with reinforcements, that make it impossible for us (virtually) to fend off both tanks and a drove of Iraqi reinforcements as well. Peek into the window in the equipment room and have the RPG-7 equipped. Stand back as far as you can from the window while still having the side of the tank in your sights. Fire on RPG-7, let it hit, then immediately fire a second. If you fire them quickly enough, the tank crew won't be able to respond quickly enough to fire back at you. Standing back from the window, additionally, ensures that if they do shell your position, you'll likely be only slightly injured instead of demolished. That tank should be destroyed after two solid hits.
Now, look at the goods in the room. Split them up how you desire, but here's what you should find within: An AKSU-74 Sub-Machine Gun, AKSU-74 Sub-Machine Ammo, two AK-74 Assault Rifle, a bunch of AK-74 Assault Rifle Ammo, an RPK-74 Light Machine Gun, RPK-74 Light Machine Gun Ammo, an SVD Dragunov Sniper Rifle, SVD Dragunov Sniper Rifle Ammo, four M67 Fragmentation Grenades, two RPG-7 Anti-Tank Rocket Launchers, two Medi-Kits, and four C4 Plastic Explosives. With those in hand, the tank destroyed and the enemies outside (for now) dead, head outside with your party.
Keep to the left side of the area as you approach the exploded tank. When you do, you'll hear another one approaching your position in front of you. This will come along with a slew of Iraqi soldiers. Stay between the wall you're in front of and the tank, which will keep the tank from hurting you. This will also force the Iraqi soldiers to come around the bend and find you, meaning you can clip all of them before they really ever see you. You'll want to be especially careful, however, because some of the Iraqi soldiers are carrying RPG-7 rockets of their own, and they all throw grenades, given the opportunity.
Use Foley to snipe as many as you can. Use the pipe on the right side of the wall we're using as a barrier to duck up and down with Foley. Take out the gunner on top of the tank (which will be very useful when we finally decide to destroy the tank itself) and keep the foes at bay with the other three enemies, using Foley to pick off any immediate dangers.
When we finally decide to destroy the tank, have whoever picked up the RPG-7s earlier (preferably Bradley) scope out the situation in front of him. When the tank's turret is faced away from him, have him jet across the way to the building on the other side of the road, but do not go inside of the building. The building has fuel inside of it, and any bullets or shells from the tank will destroy the building, and you within it. Work your way by crawling and running (when the tank turret is faced away from you) using the barriers and other obstacles around the field to the right of the tank as cover, until you can work your way to the direct back of the tank, almost inside of the garage it came out of. Pound one RPG-7 into the back end of the tank, and BAM!, it's done.
The garage that the second of the two tanks came out of is our primary objective right now, but before we go there, head to the back end of this large area, to an open building. In this open building, directly in the back of the area, you'll find all sorts of goods for your men, including three Medi-Kits and two RPG-7 Anti-Tank Rocket Launchers. Then, head back to the garage.
Once in the garage, head to the left side (as the right pathway has nothing of interest for you) and you'll have finished your first objective on this lengthy mission. Enter the doorway on the left corridor to your left, and a very quick cut scene will take place in which an Iraqi tank driver gets out of his tank. I think you know where this is going...
After the cut scene ends, go down the stairs and follow the linear corridor, where you'll run into a lone Iraqi soldier. Kill him, then proceed further down the corridor to the abandoned Iraqi tank. Jump into it, and we have control of the tank!
We won't get to use the tank for long, but while we do, it'll be fun. Have all four men get in the tank. Unlike the jeep, there's only one gunner position instead of two, meaning one person will drive, one person will gun, and the other two are idle. We'll have the idle soldiers do something in a while, but for now, drive forward and then swing left (it's our only option). We'll start to meet enemy resistance here. Remember that since you're driving the tank, the gunner will gun automatically. Run over any enemies in your way while the gunner takes care of everyone else. You'll eventually come to a soon-to-be dead end, where the road splits left (into a small room) or right and up some stairs. This is the end of the road for the tank, but do not get out of the tank yet. Many, many, many soldiers will be coming out of that room, down the stairs, et cetera, so the tank can clip these foes as they come.
In addition, take the two soldiers out of the tank that aren't either driving or gunning, and have them clip foes as well to help speed up the process. When they're coming down the stairs, you can try to kill them, but don't worry, as if they get to the ground, the tank will take it from there. Be patient and make sure all of the soldiers are dead, and then get out of the tank, and have all four of your men assemble near the staircase leading upward.
Go up the staircase and swing right through the open door. As soon as you're through the door and into the corridor beyond it, it's likely that you'll be met with more enemy resistance. Kill whatever comes in your path and follow the path until you come to a laboratory on your left. There's nothing of interest in there, so ignore the laboratory, swing leftward, and then go right and through a door.
As soon as you go right, go forward and kill more enemies in the next room. When you get into the next room, you'll find a chemical warhead, the first of a few that we need to disarm. Approach the warhead with any character you choose, and have him disarm it. The disarming process takes quite a while, so if any enemies start to shoot at your friend when he's disarming the warhead, bad things can happen. Because of this, position your other three men in front of the other door leading out of this room, where the enemy resistance will come from exclusively.
When the warhead is disarmed and the coast is clear, gather your troops and get out of this room, crossing over the bridge and into the next room.
Follow the corridor beyond the bridge as it swings left, and then right to a staircase leading downward. A slew of enemies will meet you here - try to take care of as many as you can while you still have the high ground (the top of the stairs), using Foley to pick off any of the more pesky foes below. You might see the odd Iraqi scientist here dressed in white lab coats. If you do, don't shoot them.
When things seem okay, go down the stairs and enter the adjacent room, where a new objective will come on-screen.
Objective Five:
SCUD
The warheads are being fitted onto SS-1c SCUD-B rocket stages and then deployed using SCUD TEL launchers (Transporter, Erector, Launcher). Locate and destroy all of the TEL launchers.
This room can be a little crazy, as the enemies will be on you from all angles. Fall to the back of the room and fire upon the enemies as they come, taking refuge behind the various things in the room - obstacles, machines and the like. Things will eventually calm down enough for you to go back to the area underneath the staircase with one of your characters and disarm that second warhead there. With that done, go back to the previous area, the room adjacent to where you were with all of the computers and the like.
At the left side of this room, quickly grab the two RPG-7 Anti-Tank Rocket Launchers. Then, look ahead across the way to the large SCUD missile. Take Jones and approach the SCUD missile. Plant a C4 Plastic Explosive next to the missile and back way, way up away from the missile. When you're far away, and all of your men are out of that room and out of the large hallway, press the C4 switch and the SCUD missile will explode.
With that exploded, head back left (not across the way) through a door there, and follow the corridor as it heads left, and then right into a vacant room. On the right side of this large room is a switch on the wall. Press this switch to lift the missile section of the explosive off of the warhead, thus allowing you to disable that particular warhead. Disable it, and then head back to where we destroyed the SCUD missile just a little bit earlier. We're nearly done!
Before proceeding further, head left, past the destroyed SCUD missile, and take control of Jones. Go down the corridor and go to the area where it turns left. In the middle of this large road-like pathway, plant a mine. You won't be sorry you did when the tank rolls down here in just a few moments! Now, have Jones regroup with the team.
Take all four of your men into the room where the destroyed SCUD missile is, and leave that room through the door at the right side. Follow this corridor into another room, where you will find and have to kill three Iraqi soldiers. When they're dead, quickly disarm both warheads in the room. If you've followed the walkthrough thus far, those are the last two warheads that need to be disabled, completing that particular objective.
This will trigger a tank to come out of a garage on the other side of the compound. However, if you had Jones plant a mine where I told you to, it will run over that mine, destroying the tank and the tank crew as well. Leave the room, head back down the corridor to the destroyed SCUD missile, and we'll take it from there.
Go past the now-destroyed tank (I really hope you did the mine trick; otherwise you're in for a hell of a time trying to get past it) and turn the corner heading left. You'll meet sparse enemy resistance here, it shouldn't be anything too major. When you feel like you're safe, have the entire party head down the corridor. On your right, you'll eventually see two SCUD missiles right next to each other.
Keep everyone but Jones far from the SCUD missiles. Go into the room with Jones and plant a C4 Plastic Explosive right in the middle of the two SCUD missiles, ensuring that it's properly centered. Then, equip the C4 Detonator and join the rest of your team, far from the SCUD missiles. Press the C4 Detonator and the C4 will go off, destroying both SCUD missiles in the room. With that done, we can press onward.
Go forward along this wide corridor, killing any remaining enemies. Then, turn left and fight more Iraqi soldiers waiting for you. Behind them, in front of you, is a door leading into a small room. There's nothing of interest within it, so go left in between and under some pipes and the like, and continue on your way, killing more Iraqi soldiers as you go.
You'll eventually be able to turn right and be able to proceed down another corridor. You'll meet the final resistance in this building that you will meet here, so it's no big deal. Clip the enemies (try to do it from afar, since the corridor is so long and straight, using Foley and his sniper rifle), and when all are dead, proceed down the corridor into another room. We're almost done!
From this room, go down into a stairwell, which leads right and to the final SCUD missile in the compound. Destroying it is easy, but make sure to put all of your men but Jones back into the previous corridor to protect them from the explosion. Then, take Jones and plant a C4 Plastic Explosive at the base of the SCUD missile and have him escape back to the safety of the previous corridor as well. Equip that C4 Detonator and explode the final SCUD missile, completing that objective as well.
The explosion not only destroyed the SCUD missile, but it also obliterated the wall in the room as well, leading you back outside, directly where we started the mission from in the first place! Take cover like we did at the beginning of the mission and kill all of the Iraqi soldiers coming at you. It'll initially tell you to assemble your men at the gate on the left side here, but you can't until you kill more men, so that prompt disappears. Once you do kill enough men, assemble your men around the gate again, and this long, long mission finally comes to a close!
