Barry Pepper is joining the cast of The Scorch Trials, the sequel to Fox’s YA actioner The Maze Runner.
Lili Taylor (The Conjuring) also has joined the production, which will shoot later this month in New Mexico.
Returning actors Dylan O’Brien and Will Poulter are leading the cast, which includes new faces such as Nathalie Emmanuel, Aidan Gillen, Rosa Salazar and Giancarlo Esposito.

Pepper is playing Vince, a survivalist who is one of the last remaining soldiers of a legendary unit called the Right Arm.
Taylor is playing Mary Cooper, a doctor who started a colony of survivors in the hopes of making a last stand.
Director Wes Ball is back for the feature that is being produced by Temple Hill Entertainment and the Gotham Group.
Pepper is on screens currently opposite Jeremy Renner in the indie drama Kill the Messenger and will appear opposite rising star Lucas Till in Paramount’s Monster Trucks, which will open May 29, 2015. He is repped by Kohner Agency and Sloane Offer Weber.
Taylor is repped by APA and Circle of Confusion.
