In watercolor, it is important to be mindful of the color of the erasers you use. Some erasers can smear color behind them on your nice white paper. This eraser is clear and designed to be non-abrasive. It is very gentle on your paper. I've found this eraser handles a little differently than others. Practice with it on scrap paper first. It can smear if you go into an area with heavy graphite and use a lot of pressure. Go slowly, be gentle, and practice first with this eraser. Caran D'Ache is known for excellent products and this eraser is a useful tool to have on hand when working with high quality white papers especially.
