This book is a great read whether you´re a believer, skeptic or just fancy a bit of weirdness.

It´s a time capsule from black and white Britain and its incidental details make it a quite valuable historical document regardless of the subject matter. But of course it´s the subject matter here which people are coming for and there´s plenty to mull over. Estelle Roberts´ is the case for the defence, and she speaks eloquently and truthfully, in the sense that you are under no illusions that she is presenting the facts of the matter as she sees them.

Ms Roberts wasn´t a back parlour psychic : she addressed large scale meetings at the Royal Albert Hall. In her day she achieved a Doris Stokes-like level of fame. She gave readings for the rich and famous of the time and many a well-known person "came through" to her.

Well worth a couple of hours.
