Rahma's Plea: Help Bring my Family Out of Gaza

Hello, my name is Zahi, and I'm urgently reaching out on behalf of my friend Rahma Mohammed, an international student currently in Turkey. Rahma's family is enduring an unimaginable crisis in Gaza. To help reunite Rahma with her family during these difficult times, I have initiated this GoFundMe campaign.

Rahma's family, including six sisters and their mother Mariam, a resilient single mother and dedicated school counselor, is in dire straits. Mariam has devoted over 25 years to helping children with PTSD and supporting girls facing domestic violence in Gaza. Now, at 58, just shy of retirement, she has lost her home and is living in unbearable conditions with her daughters, lacking basic necessities like winter clothes, essential medicines, and sufficient food and drinkable water.

Our revised goal is to raise $20,000 to facilitate the evacuation of Rahma's family to Egypt. The breakdown of the fund is as follows:

$1,000 for their urgent needs, covering basic essentials during their transition.

$19,000 for permits and crossing fees at the Egypt-Gaza border in Rafah. This amount is critical to cover the expenses associated with obtaining permits for Rahma's mother and sister, who urgently need medical care and must leave the rest of the family behind in Gaza.
