Delta plane has medical emergency after flight attendant falls ill; lands at Metro
A Delta Air Lines flight from Paris to Detroit declared a medical emergency Friday after a flight attendant became ill, a Delta spokesman confirmed.
An emergency on board was declared about 45 minutes before the plane arrived in Detroit.
According to Delta, the flight bound for Detroit landed at 12:31 p.m. and was met by airport paramedics, who took the crew member to the hospital for further evaluation.
One hundred ninety-eight passengers and 12 crew members were aboard, the spokesman said.
A Wayne County Airport Authority official told the Free Press that the plane was already scheduled to arrive in Detroit and was not diverted.
The official added that there was nothing wrong with the aircraft.
