Despite Retiring From Bodybuilding, 63-YO Shredded Star’s Feature in Acclaimed Magazine in 1988 Became His Huge Comeback

Some stories become legendary and unforgettable. When it comes to bodybuilding, there are certain athletes that have conquered the sport with not just enough hard work and passion for the sport. They did it with good genes and a great deal of criticism. Bob Paris is definitely one such figure when it comes to fitness. And, there was a time when Paris’ career took a major turn.

Paris started lifting weights as a sophomore and soon he began to gain a huge size and it was then that he decided to become a professional bodybuilder. Having a cumulative factor of hard work, intelligence, and good genes, he made quite a name for himself. Although there were a lot of obstacles on his road, he still managed to survive. It was in 1988 that he resurfaced again after being featured in one of the most famous fitness magazines.

Bob Paris, who was also called the new Steve Reeves by a lot of people, was featured on the front page of Joe Weider’s Flex Magazine in 1988. His story resurfaced on the Internet, a few hours ago, when a photo of him was shared on the official page of ‘chicagoadonis’. The picture was captioned as, “BOB PARIS (Born 1959), the acclaimed American physique star, was profiled in the September 1988 issue of Joe Weider’s “Flex” magazine.”

Bob Paris had a rather ugly road to stardom with numerous stones thrown his way. However, being left homeless and with no support, he had no other option than to make a name for himself. Being criticized for one thing or the other, at one point Bob almost gave up. But life had a surprise for him. It was in the 1988 feature that he made a huge comeback. The caption continued, “At that time, Mr. Paris was making a successful comeback after briefly retiring from professional bodybuilding.”

Ever since then, Paris came back with a bang and is easily one of the most renowned and inspiring bodybuilders to this day. The journey of the 63 YO professional bodybuilder through struggles is a true testament to the sweet fruits of not giving up. He went on to make history in the fitness world, with one achievement after another!

Bob Paris Making history!

Bob Paris was regarded to have one of the best physiques in his prime bodybuilding days and also an aesthetically pleasing face. What set him apart was his immense knowledge and love for public speaking. Paris was the first athlete to bring legitimate drug testing into the world of bodybuilding. In 2006, Bob was named the most aesthetic athlete in the history of bodybuilding by the IFBB in Flex Magazine.
