Mission:
Promote respiratory health in Latin America , supported by the promotion of the best standards of quality of care for the prevention, detection and treatment of respiratory diseases, research and science, education for health personnel and the community and the lobbying for the management of public health policies in the region.

Vision:
In 2030 ALAT will be recognized as the leading scientific association in respiratory health in Latin America, considering:
• The construction of innovative value propositions for our members, which will allow us to grow steadily, achieving greater representation.
• The generation of applicable knowledge in the region, through ALAT science and research.
• The recognition that our educational projects are the most suitable for developing the competencies and skills of respiratory health personnel in the region.
• The influence of ALAT lobbying in decision-making bodies for the improvement of respiratory health indices in Latin America.
