Ramon Ayala, 'King of the Accordion,' to perform at Inn of the Mountain Gods

Ramon Ayala, one of the best-selling Norteño musicians, will perform at the Inn of the Mountain Gods in the Ruidoso area later this month.

Ayala, called "the King of the Accordion," will perform at 8 p.m. Nov. 30 at the resort. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The musician got his start at a young age, spending his youth mastering the accordion and performing to earn money for his family. Over the years he joined multiple bands, including Los Jilgueros de Marin, Los Pavoreales, Relampagos del Norte and Ramón Ayala y Sus Bravos Del Norte, according to a news release.

The Mexican musician has played for more than 40 years and has won four Grammy Awards. His hits include “Un Rinconcito en el Cielo,” “Tragos Amargos” and "El Numero Cien.”

Tickets range from $30 to $75, plus fees, and can be purchased online or at Inn of the Mountain Gods ticket booth.
