L'Échelle Abordable is a rapidly-growing NPO founded in 2021 in Montreal. Unique in its kind, L'Échelle Abordable was born out of the private company "Échelle Développement Inc", an arrangement that allows it to benefit from essential human and financial capital.
Born in the midst of a real estate crisis exacerbated by a global pandemic, the rise of the private sector in Montreal's real estate industry and the weakening of the public and community sectors were the catalysts behind its creation.

L'Échelle Abordable's vision is to create a portfolio of affordable buildings that contribute to the social, cultural and economic life of Greater Montreal.
