The title sums it up in four simple words, Carreras, Domingo, Pavarotti and Mehta.
The three greatest tenors on the planet singing the greatest arias from the greatest operas to music led by one of the greatest conductors of our time. It just can't possibly get any better than that. You don't even have to like opera to understand that what your listening to is pure perfection.

Three of the greatest living (at the time, Pavarotti was still with us) tenors to grace a stage!!! Incomparable talent!!! Each of these men were well endowed with phenomenal voices in their own right, but combining their talents with no competition between them, gets them my undying praise and respect! Pavarotti was never better. Domingo sings with presence and confidence gained with years of experience with his material. And Carerras is in such beautiful voice, one could never tell he had ever been ill. While I am not, what most would consider, an opera lover, these men held me absolutely rapt while the cd played. The success of these "Three Tenors" concerts took Carreras, Pavarotti and Domingo by surprise; so much so that according to Pavarotti, they entered into their first concert together a bit under-rehearsed. Professionals that they are, the concert was wonderful. The interplay between the three men was entertaining, and the quality of their performances were supurb. The stage was able to contain the three egos without a trace of clashing. The listener may be tempted to rank the tenors in order of their favorites.
