Sin embargo, al igual que nuestros abuelos y muchos otros tesoros de nuestras tradiciones que perdieron su vigencia con el pasar de los a os, el duende comenz a desaparecer, hasta casi quedar en el olvido. Con este libro no solo revivo en tiempo presente a este personaje m tico de nuestra cultura hispano-americana, sino que tambi n lo ubico geogr ficamente en el lugar donde viv y disfrut mi ni ez, le doy un origen, una identidad, un lugar en la historia y una voz con su versi n de los hechos. Al final, si pudi semos llamarlo as , le doy el desenlace que siempre quise para l en mis sue os, o mejor dicho, para las pesadillas en las que el duende fue protagonista en mi ni ez.
