Taking place after the events depicted in the Disney animated film, Tarzan: Untamed is a 3D platform title in which players partake in a variety of extreme sports disciplines, with the single goal of obtaining all 75 film reels hidden within the game's 15 levels. Oswald Gardner and his accompanying lackeys have captured many of Tarzan's ape friends and it's up to the film's protagonist to rescue them and destroy all of the evil scientist's film reels in the process.<br><br>What follows is a blur of vine-swinging, surfing, skiing, wrestling, and bungee jumping. Jungle stages provide the opportunity to rescue a handful of apes and find some of the missing reels, while the water stages require Tarzan to perform tricks and grinds to obtain film reels while dodging rocks and other obstacles. Spears can be used to dispatch marauding wildlife or villainous goons, and so too can Tarzan's bare hands, in a pinch.<br><br>Branching paths contained within each jungle stage are home to film reels which can only be reached by first gaining the respect of the local gorillas, who will then help you gain access to these alternate routes. Additionally, new abilities can be earned by completing a series of side-quests. Collecting every film reel in the game unlocks a hidden movie.

    For 'Gamers-in-Training'

    This is a movie game. Let's face it. It's not Zelda or Mario, but it can be good. But where? To the demographic of 'Gamers-in-training'. These people are new gamers, trying to get the hang of control variations, reflexes, etc., and need to move to the point that a video game is more fun than frusterating. This works well for that. Simple 'special moves' that don't take BAYXBAAAAYB. Different levels, High scores, and basics, even button mashing on bosses. If you aren't bragging about your skills in video games, buy. Yeah, Somebody must be looking at me asking 'Why not great gamers'. The answer is simple. It's kind of easy. But I had a blast for the time until I got bored. But if you say 'I don't care', go ahead. The developer was semi-prepared. They added a challenge mode ...

    ..." I AM TARZAN, LORD OF THE JUNGLE! I PROTECT ALL WHO COME HERE!"..5 STARS WAY HIGH!

    I bought this years ago and I'm still enjoying it! Disney's Tarzan rocks! It's a really fun and beautifully made game! Just wished that the game developers would've made this game a little bit easier on some levels. I still laugh out loud as Tarzan dies repeatedly on the levels that I'm really bad at. Hoping that there's more Tarzan games and movies to come.

    Good for a 4 y/old.

    My son is 4 1/2 y/old and likes this game. We still didn't figure out how to get through everything on it yet. I'm happy I bought it 'cause It's not a violent one. I would say it's worth up to U$20, better than paying U$50 for Batman as I did. I also recommend Mario Kart, Monkey Balls & Lego Indiana Jones for this age.

    Great challenge

    This is a great challengs for a young child to start building his game towards harder and more challenging role playing games. It&apos;s perfect for beginners on coordination and different levels of gameplay.
