Product Information

Sega's acclaimed racing simulation series makes its Xbox debut with the release of Sega GT 2002. As in its Dreamcast predecessor, this Gran Turismo-style racing game features licensed vehicles from such auto manufacturers as Nissan, Mitsubishi, Renault, Ford, Jaguar, and Daimler-Chrysler to drive around a variety of real-world tracks. Among the refinements offered by the Xbox are a selection of 125 cars, more courses, and enhanced visuals. <br><br>The main focus of play is the Sega GT 2002 Mode. As players enter various competitions, they'll be able to store cash winnings, trophies, and vehicles in their own personal garage. Players begin with $13,000 to purchase a car and can then enter an official race, event race, or buy new or used car parts. Official races are divided into three stages, spanning three to five races apiece, where players aim to finish within the top three cars. License tests are required during the first season, which grade driving prowess as well as overall time. Each test must be passed to advance to the next stage.<br><br>Event races do not require licenses and are played simply to win money and prizes. The 15 races in this category range from the Casio Sports Cup and Super Car Event to the Microsoft Speed Cup and Battle of the '70s. Certain races require players to own a specific car model before they are allowed to enter. Classic cars from the 1970s and early '80s are also available, to drive in a separate Chronicle mode. Video replays of each race can be saved during this mode, as well as in the Sega GT 2002, to show friends or to study before the next event.<br><br>Other modes of play include Time Attack, where players can record their best performances and then save them as a Ghost Car for subsequent challenges, and Quick Battle, where players select their car, course, difficulty, and number of laps before challenging a friend or the computer. Players can also earn the right to snap up to six photos while watching a race's replay video and save the shots in their garage. Each replay can also be edited using various filter effects for a more cinematic look.

Item was described as new but it was opened when I received it and had had obvious signs that it had been taken out of the box. Seller apologized and said they are only a reseller and it was not their fault. I think whoever puts the item on eBay is the one responsible. Seller should not trust everything the owner tells them and they should check the condition of the items to make sure is as described. Seller gave me a refund but it was a pain having to go to the post office. Not happy this time

    Good

    The game is scratched like crazy but just enough that it is still playable. But I understand how old it is and how easily damage occurs, especially on discs like these. Regardless, it does its job and I have no glitches in gameplay and very rare cases of notices that say "Please remove disc". So thanks guys for a good classic!

    This game rocks

    This is a great road racing game. It has alot of cars to unlock as you progress along.You will have to buy a beater import to get started. Once you have some money built up you can get into a wide selection of sport cards, american, and import. You can also unlock some serious gas burner nostalgia hot rods. Its always fun to run a circle track in my 1100hp vintage charger. Lots of upgrade options on cars. The wrong combonation can slow you down. Also has alot of race tracks and road races and a drag strip. Plenty of options to build your cars up that you win or buy. I bought this game when it first came out and still give it its share of time. It blows away most racing games. This has alot of interaction with building your car and can cause serious sleep deprevation. This and a nascar ...

    One of the best racing games for xbox

    When I first got my Xbox many many years back for Christmas this game came bundled with it. Ever since then I've played it on and off until mine broke and I loved it so much I had to buy a new copy. For racing fans, fans of games featuring lots of older model cars, or anyone in between.

    These games are not only 2 for the price of 1 but they are also great games. Sega GT is a rad racing game, the graphics are great and its gameplay .... likewise. Jetset Radio is a unique game, superb cell-shaded graphics. It might not be for everyone but it is an thoroughly an enjoyable game. You can&apos;t go wrong with these games, especially while it&apos;s 2 for 1.
