Nicholas G. D’Agostaro, 102, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024 in Toms River, NJ. A proud veteran of the U.S Army, Nicholas served in Panama during World War II. After his honorable discharge, he began working in sales for Canada Dry, and retired after a 35 year career. Nicholas was known to be a crafty man who was a jack of all trades. He had a strong will to live, and loved to build various model boats, and did so until his final days. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. Nicholas also loved to cook, all dishes had to be made from scratch.
Nicholas was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rose, and his siblings Rose (Sunny), Jane, James (Jimmy) and Gloria. He is survived by his loving children and their spouses, Jaclyn Puorro and her husband Fred and Bob D’Agostaro and his wife Sandy; his cherished granddaughters Dena Puorro and Lisa Pawlik and her husband Charlie; and his adoring great-grandchildren, Charles and Lorie Pawlik.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11AM at St. James Roman Catholic Church James, 184 S. Finley Avenue, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920.
