Joan Collins, Jane Seymour and Jane Fonda lend some old- school glamour to star-studded Golden Globes party

They may collectively be 206 years old, but Joan Collins, Jane Seymour and Jane Fonda proved last night that glamour has no upper age limit.

The illustrious trio attended a Golden Globes pre-party in the suitably elegant surroundings of the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

Collins, 76, shimmered in a black sequinned jacked decorated with a Carrie Bradshaw-style corsage, while Seymour, 58, looked half her age in a vibrant blue tiered bandeau dress.

Fonda, 72, in turn showed off her slender waist by teaming her full-length gown with a wide, high-waisted belt.

They were among an illustrious cast of A-list guests, including Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes and Ben Stiller.

Holmes was polished as ever in a figure-hugging black knitted dress, while her husband was more dressed down in jeans, black polo neck and leather jacket.

Cruise enjoyed a catch-up with his Tropic Thunder co-star Stiller. The pair are due to collaborate again on The Hardy Men, not due for release until 2012.

Actor Woody Harrelson, who was channelling the rat pack in a jaunty fedora, party-hopped from the Critics' Choice Movie Awards to the event in time for a chat with Cruise, while Ashley Olsen stayed close to her actor boyfriend Justin Bartha.

Also among the famous faces was Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford.

The glamorous event, hosted by T Magazine and Dom Perignon was a pre-party for tomorrow night's Golden Globe awards, believed by many to be an indicator of which films will do well at the Oscars on March 7.

Last night also saw the Critics' Choice Movie Awards take place, with Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock sharing the Best Actress title.

The pair caused a stir when they locked lips as they collected their joint award.
