Entertainment Weekly recently dropped a preview for this coming spring TV season's "Thank God It's Thursday" experience — that's the Shonda Rhimes show(s) night on ABC (Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder). With less than 30 seconds worth of footage across all three series, there was drama for all the shows' leads. Annalise Keating has a baby, Olivia Pope has some new clients, and, wait, Meredith Grey is all beat up and on a ventilator, even; what is happening, she literally only just lost McDreamy, can't we leave her alone for a while?!

Some further details on what all this nastiness entails: In the midseason premiere episode on Febr. 11, Meredith will be "the victim of a violent assault," EW now teases. Actress Kelly McCreary, who plays Meredith's half-sister on the show, explains that "Meredith gets attacked by someone you would least expect and it is just as terrifying, shocking and harrowing as it appears." The "brutal" and "vicious" incident plays out "in a completely surprising, weird way," Sarah Drew (Grey's's Dr. April Kepner)  adds again — so does this mean it's the return of an apparently vengeful Derek Shepherd's ghost?! Who even knows.
