Your favorite Marvel man—aka Chris Evans—seems to have a brand new girlfriend wife (!!), and while it's sad for you, the actor genuinely appears to be in love and living his best life alongside fellow Hollywood star Alba Baptista.
And from the looks of our FBI-level deep-dive into everything there is to know about Alba, we're here to report it's practically impossible to not ship these two. After all, the Lisbon, Portugal native not only speaks five languages (Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, and German, TYVM), but Alba's also beyond passionate about humanitarian work and has her own impressive list of IMDb creds.

After her breakout role on Warrior Nun, the actor went on to appear in the 2022 dramatic comedy, Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris. And not only does the film's title rhyme in the most satisfying way possible, but it also has an impressive critics score of 94 percent on my personal movie bible Rotten Tomatoes.
She's super philanthropic
Just like her now-husband Chris, Alba often works with charities and other philanthropic organizations in order to give back and even spent time working in a Cambodian orphanage in March 2017.
Alba and Chris have been together for ~2 years
While it's unclear exactly when Alba and Chris first began dating since they keep things pretty private, rumors began swirling back in 2021 thanks to the Portuguese actor following her now-husband and several of his family members on Instagram. (FWIW, Chris actually followed Alba on Instagram first in fall 2020, but no one thought anything of it at the time.)
And while that may have led one to believe things were serious at the time, it was difficult to find cold, hard proof of their courtship...until November 2, 2022, when eagle-eyed fans noticed Alba's mom's profile pic on Insta of some (adorbs!) pumpkins were also seen on Chris' Instagram.
Soon after on November 10, 2022, the floodgates opened and a source dished to People that Chris and his now-wife Alba had been dating "for over a year and it's serious." The insider added, "They are in love and Chris has never been happier. His family and friends all adore her."
And just hours after that report went live, the actors themselves were spotted together by paparazzi for the first time during a stroll through Central Park in pics obtained by Page Six. And, yes, this was the internet's general vibe about it:
Alba gets the sweetest features on Chris' social media
One of Chris' most *chef kiss* tributes was on Valentine's Day 2023, when the actor shared tons of Instagram Stories featuring videos and photos of himself and Alba together.

Just a month before that on January 6, 2023, Chris actually made his relationship with Alba ~Instagram official~ after he posted a vid of himself and his then-girlfriend scaring each other on his Instagram Story alongside the caption "a look back at 2022" with three heart emojis.
Alba and Chris been "serious" for a while now
In addition to all previous reports about Alba and Chris' romance, in January 2023 yet *another* source spoke to Us Weekly. "Chris and Alba have gotten serious," the insider revealed. "This is the most committed anyone can remember him being in a very long time, if not ever."
They added the two "spend most of their time at his place in Massachusetts and love the quiet life there, surrounded by nature and away from the spotlight. Chris was very open that he wanted to take his time before settling down."
The news doesn't seem to be super surprising since a few months prior in November 2022— after being named People's Sexiest Man Alive, NBD—Chris spoke candidly about his desire to one day settle down and start a family.
"That's absolutely something I want: wife, kids, building a family," he told the outlet (per Page Six). "When you read about most of the best artists, whether it's actors, painters, writers, most of them [admit] it wasn't the work they made [that they are most proud of], it was about the relationships; the families they created, the love they found, the love they shared."
"So it's also something through my long 41 years that also rings true. Those things are the most important. I love the idea of tradition and ceremony. Alba and Chris are officially married!
Yep, over the weekend of September 9 and 10, 2023, People confirmed Chris and Alba got married at a super fancy private estate in Cape Cod. And, yes, the ceremony was totally hush-hush, likely thanks to the fact guests had to sign NDAs and forfeit their phones!
Tons of Chris' Marvel co-stars were spotted at the ceremony including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and longtime couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. That said, up until *checks clock* right now, the couple’s reps have yet to confirm the wedding news, so we had to wait literal m-o-n-t-h-s for the ultra-private couple to spill the 🍵 themselves...which they did!!! Well, kinda...
On November 27, 2023, we got a glimpse of Alba's GORGEOUS 💍 c/o a pic the actor posted of herself at the GQ Portugal Men of the Year event in Lisbon. In a *chef's kiss* carousel of images from the event, we saw Alba in a chic, all-black Miu Miu 'fit and a sparkling dazzler that I will fully be adding to my manifestation mood board ASAP.
