Third Verve concept in Detroit

Ford has launched its third and final Verve design study to gauge reaction from the American public to the different styling treatments

Ford designers have re-worked the look of the Verve that was recently exhibited at the Guangzhou Motor Show in China (more here). The three-door model previously shown in Frankfurt is also on the stand at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

For Detroit, the Verve's front end has been revised to align it more with the current American product range and some of the more obvious European styling cues, such as the inverted trapezoidal air intake, have been toned down.

Verve will be the design basis for the Fiesta replacement -- which may or may not continue to be named Fiesta.
