ABOUT

Blunt Knife Co. is a not-for-profit social enterprise project that supports and promotes creative people from marginalised groups.

Our projects have encompassed creative clubs, exhibitions, workshops, performance nights, artist markets and more, with the aim to enable people to build and share skills, to inform and inspire creativity, and to create a safe space for marginalised people to gather and make connections.

We at BKco. are particularly interested in working with people at the intersection of marginalised experiences: LGBTQ+ people, migrants and BPOC, people with disability and mental illness, and people on low income or from working class backgrounds.

We ran a shop on Thistle Street for two years that sold printed materials such as zines, books, pamphlets, art prints, stickers, postcards, and other creative items, all made by independent artists and organisations. As with everything we do, the shop had a strong focus on alternative works that are outside the mainstream and that are telling important stories.

We strive to make positive change and to respond to the needs of our local community. As such, we’re always open to feedback and suggestions – give us a shout via our contact form.
